Well what an absolutely amazing night this was - the atmosphere was really genuinely like it was years ago.

The crowd were up for it from the start, no idiots, plenty of old faces to chinwag with, some I had not seen for over 15 years and thanks to old faithfuls biskit, nics and her sister whose name I always forget, Dan, Vee, Antz and their mates that I always forget the names of, Claire Bear (was good to meet you and sending the CDs was my pleasure but thanks for the comments) and anyone else I have forgotten.

Those that missed it missed out big style.

I must thank Gaz for his pivotal help in making this night exceed all my expectations. His relentless promotion and enthusiasm and the hours and hours he spent in organising it all are very much appreciated and I trust made it all worth while for him.

Thanks to all the DJs - especially Deany for playing a blinding set well outside of his comfort zone (err no pun intended) playing tunes that are `impossible to mix` and getting the night off to a blinding start.

Also thanks to Phil and my dear soulmate Debby for supporting this event.

Most of all, thanks to the crowd that turned up, the coach and minibus organisers, and for being so up for it that playing out was an abosolute pleasure again. To each and everyone of you massive respect.

Gaz had got some more good ideas for the next one. Watch this space.

Missed Andy deans set, arrived to find the place full to feck! Barrie jay played a top jenks set anthem after anthem!, Next up was the bakerman himself , another top top venue set. Best set of the night for me was andy pendle , ace set as per usual, isnt nobody better zone style for me! Really enjoyed keith capsticks maximes set kept the place jumping till 3am. Thought irie was decent for the first hr then he seemed to get bored and couldnt be arsed.. Gotta get the big room next time gaz, far too got in there and no room to dance! Roll on the next one!

Matt bell , john j , Andy pendle, stu davies , chris baker ! Comon!

Well, well, well

I’ll first start by saying that you could of took all the other nites you went to and x 50 and you still wouldn’t be close to how much of an awesome nite this reunion was.

If you didn’t come to this nite then you definitely missed out (Big style). From start to finish the whole place was full of indescribable atmosphere. We got there bout 10 ish due to a bad start with my car being fooked  all was sorted though cos Mr Fisher kindly offered to take his car, nice one

When we arrived we entered to some very nice early italo being brilliantly put together by the man Dave Taylor. First off, to the bar and get settled at the front of the club. We were met very kindly by Barrie Jay and had a chat.

The tune that stood out the most from Dave’s set had to be 4 for money – It’s a moment in time. Straight away you could tell that he was enjoying every minute of it building the crowd very nicely, not over doing it but just enough to get things going ;)

After Dave had done it was the turn of one of my personal faves Barrie Jay. Who started off exactly where Dave left off, his first tune was the very nice tune called Lory Lee – Start to dance, this is deffo what got things really moving for me. Barrie was again loving every minute of it, dancing about on the decks and really pumping the crowd up for what had yet to come.

In Barrie’s set there were classics such as:

Big Band LTD – Why don’t you love me
Crazy D & RNA – Dj Life
Soul Masters – We’ve got energy (This sounded ace as fook)
Common Factor – Don’t Break My Heart
Step & Rhythm – Times Like These

Each and every tune out doing the previous one. By this time I was well and truly on my way, the club was packed and everybody was dancing their asses off. Once again the crowd was then set up and ready to go for the next instalment from none other than the melody maker himself. Straight away took it from the piano stuff to the venue styleee.

At this point it’s really difficult to find words of how good this nite already was. The dance floor was now just covered in happy as fook clubbers all really enjoying so far what had been put on for them. Then in the mix came Dynamic Express – The next train, which just tore the fookin roof off, everybody just went nuts. At this point I had moved to the back of the venue due to the fact that is was hot as fook and rammed at the front of the club. No that it made any difference as the whole upstairs of 53° was jam packed wall to wall.

I’m now gonna have to give my first lot of love and respect to skooler for organising this magical event. You deserve a medal

Next to grace the decks was another fave of mine Andy Pendle, His set again took it to the next level after Chris, so far the whole nite had just built up more and more throughout each set, I had now ventured back towards the front to get the full effect of the bob on sound system. The 2 tunes that stood out of this set for me were Drop – In your face & the Hard Vocal remix of the stomper JT Company – Live my life. I was dripping from head to toe in sweat as was everybody else.

By this point now, there was some ppl outside having a cool down, a fag and a chat. I however couldn’t tear myself away. All the sets had been so different but all equally as good, I knew the fantastic time I had had up to the end of Andy’s set surely it couldn’t get any better. However I was sooooooo wrong, to finish the nite off with a bang (and he did just that) was none other than Keith Capstick, this set definitely showed me the nite was again getting better.

I was officially now having an out of body experience as tunes such as Inside Out – Keep on dancing, Daydream – Through the night, Yama – Keep On Moving and Kathy Read – Tonight were being sent at speed by Keith. This was a man that loved every tune that he put on and the crowd buzzed off it. This deffo wrapped the whole nite off with an awesome atmosphere, and sent the many, many, many clubbers away with a grin from ear to ear.

I can do my best to try and describe the whole nite but ya had to be there for yourselves to actually take it all in. Skooler has put some pics up which can at least show you how good it was!!!

Maximum respect goes out to Gaz (oldskooler) the event truly was the best I have ever been to, can’t wait for the next one.

Big shouts to my crew that drove down there Vee, Gaz, Ben, Antz, Foxy, Claire.

Good to see Woody, Suddy, Sharron, Barrie Jay, Andy Pendle, Biskit, Nicola, Tony Jay, Gav

Nice to finally meet Dom (Mad as a box of frogs), Ness Mad as a box of frogs with darts), GMan, Liverbird, Her fella (soz I toold you I was shit wi names) Danny Murphy, Kelly.

Soz if I missed anyone, I had the most messiest mash ever, after driving all the way to Dom & Ness’s afterwards in blaggers and getting there without being pulled was a miracle. Dint end up going to work Mon or Tues all in all had a proper good time, thanks guys.

Anyone that decided not to go to this nite well then you missed out BIG TIME!!!!!! Get yaselves to the next one.

RESPECT TO THE ZONE!!!

Ooops - your memory is still fooked from the night Dan :)

It was Andrew Dean who kicked it all off - Dave (Lee) Taylor wasn`t even there. ;)

The Lory Lee choon was I Know You Love - quite a recent find but a nice stomper to kick off with!!

Errr.....I think that`s the best review I have ever read in my life.

Glad to have been part of it.
