i like to scratch so i have a vestax pmc 05 pro, had it for 8 years and even though it gets a proper hammering i've only just changed the original fader, although some reckon they aren't made so well these days.

What make a mixer good for scratching?

For me its the faders on the vestax, vca so no crackles, fader movement not too light or heavy, like a 1210, it just feels right, adjustable curve so you can do all the modern flare type scratches ,plus as mentioned they will take a proper bashing . i have friends that rate the rane mixers for the wikki wikki action and the stanton scratch mixers used to be pretty good value for money.
