im only 20 so no really been to the clubs i wanted to go to whilst being in school like

barristers
coolers
sequins
the mill
venue
arena
kenetic
helter skelter

but the clubs ive been to are:
bowlers - manchester
munroes - blackburn
wigan pier - wigan
temple - bolton
and the best of them all maximes - wigan

has any body got any pics from the clubs theve been to??? i would love to have a look

This is my chronological list (time scaled innit) of "regular" clubs:

The Man Alive (MCR Uni) 1986-88

The Konspiracy (MCR Centre) and The Thunderdome (Miles Platting) 1988-1990

The Hacienda and The Boardwalk (MCR Centre) 1989 - 1992

The Studio (MCR Centre) 1989-90

Bowlers (Salford) 1990

The Academy (MCR Centre) 1991-92

from 1992 - 1994 I did :

Hardtimes (Huddersfield)

B2B (Leeds)

Up yer Ronson (Leeds)

Then I moved to Spain and am still here :D

Ok that was my regulars list but Ive also visited amongst many others :

Sequins, Shellys, Time, Cream, The Venue, Angels...at Id say nearly every weekend from early 88 till late 89 I did some mad wharehouse or another, nearly always but not exclusively around blackburn.


Theres loads more but Im too fekked to remember most of them I think...well atleast the regulars are there :D

I think it did but to be honest I cant quite remember. Itwas on Ducie Street bear Piccadilly me remembers.

It is now some fuckin' cheese palace churning out loads of shite with lorry loads of attitude from what I hear ie Its now crap. I just though i'd ask if it were known as I never find anyone apaprt from me mates who remember it, It wasnt too memoraqble though to be hhhhonest!

Giving Leeds What It Needs.
for me it was various shenanigans round leeds i.e organick kaossoak's hi flyers, voyage, ark, orbit and occasionally ventured futher afield for obsession dance nation ect ect but for me my local friday night saturday night had to be the rickys for an up and coming dj sasha and greg norman before moving up to the gallery for luigi and spots by sy vertigo and the usual suspects even a young nipper named dj killer remember him the cheeky little monkey.

well there's my ten pence worth :D

milwaukies (fun house) - esp & helter skelter (same club different name, i preferred the original)
the eclipse - coventry (everyone had a night on there)
shelleys laser dome - amnesia house - stoke
starlight 2001 - total kaos - leicester

Heres a few of my regular haunts from back in the daze. used to be a lot of smaller events around near us aswell like brainstorm and pychosis. Basic as f#ck but how i like them. i think they where a bit more personal. i don't like these 5,000+ raves that all these big promoters cashed in on.

My clubbing life... oo err.. gonna show my age here..:axe:

1987-88 Over The Rainbow - Oldham
1988-89 Hacienda - Manchester, Various acid house parties
1989-90 Thunderdome, Konspiracy, The House, The Sound Garden - Manchester
1991-92 Sequins - Blackpool, Angels - Burnley, some club in Southport (Cant remember the name.. The Empire i think), Entropy - Stoke, Hippos - Middleton
1993-94 Local shite clubs in Oldham (The scene had gone crap around this time (Gabber, Jungle..etc)
1994-97 Angels - Burnley, Federation - Blackpool, Love To Be - Sheffield, Generation X - Manchester
1997-98 The Temple - Bolton, Gatecrasher - Sheffield
1999-2000 Music went poo again because of the stupid Trance Trumpet tunes as i like to call them.. Grrrr! when will it end that sound??
2001-2002 Some club up in Morley.. god whats its name... err help..

its good to see

everyone was into quality house in the mid 90's

basics (leeds), hardtimes (huddersfield), love to be(sheffield)
and then gatecrasher 96/7(ish)


I've always found people at clubs like bowlers, wigan pier /maximes.............

looked down on you.........if you mentioned these clubs
they think your not a proper bowlers head cos you go to other clubs


me and my mates basically took turns
one week hardcore techno
the next quality house by MAW
and then the next @ bowlers

and everyone thought it was dead strange
flicking from club to club

(but we went for the atmosphere dj)

if stu allan is on at bowlers and maw are on AT LOVE TO BE
I KNOW WHERE I'D BE

AND THE OTHER WAY ROUND

IF TODD TERRY WAS ON AT BASICS
AND NIPPER WAS PLAYING AT BOWLERS

I'D SEE NIPPER, AND THEN GET DOWN TO BASICS FOR THE LAST 3 HOURS



and the amount of times i've been called a posh bastard
at the services cos I go to clubs like this...............
and many BOWLERS HEADS disown ya



ONE WEEK I'D BE IN THE SERVICES AFTER BOWLERS IN MY T SHIRT JEANS
AND PEOPLE WOULD TALK TO YOU

NEXT WEEK I'D BE IN THE SERVICES IN A SHIRT /TROUSERS/SHOES
AFTER HARDTIMES
AND THE SAME PEOPLE YOU WHERE BEST MATES WITH LAST WEEK
WOULD'NT EVEN SPEAK TO YA

i NEVER GOT THAT

COS THAT REALLY PISSED ME OFF













fao pixie: that little church in huddersfield was my home mon/wed/thurs for 4 years

Yeah I went there - it was really dark inside & the main room was quite long & thin - not like a bit square room. There were some steps but not many when I was there (not that I remember).

Havign said that tho, it got closed down & then re-opened so there's nothing to say that the decore/layout didn't change during that time.

some more clubs i just remembered i went to...

1990 - The Banshee - Manchester
1992 - Bowlers - Manchester (how did i forget this huge club i dont know!) Pixie just reminded me.. never liked the place anyway
1996 - Club Expo - Burnley, Maximes - Wigan (youth club!) god i felt old in there!:(, Babylonia - Huddersfield
1997 - Bowlers again.. think it was their 5th birthday.. that band who did En core un fois did a live PA.. pure cheese!!
1998 - Some club in Rhyl.. Nev Johnson was resident.. Think it was called Fantasy Island, smallest club ive ever been to! but 1 of the friendliest!!:thumbsup:

think thats all of them, apart from clubs abroad and im not gonna list them cos cant remember the names.. too pished when i went to them!:D
