Well seeing as no one has posted a review in the correct place I thought I would start......

So.....

Arrived at Ivory / Ebony / Salinas house at 21:05 to find Barrie Jay and Chris Angels nippin to the offie, so I walked in to find Salina throwing clothes everywhere looking for a top.....lol

We eventually left the house in taxi straight to the club at about 21:45 just to catch the end of Deanys set....played some good oldies to make peeps feel welcome.

There weren't many people in at this time, next up was Andy Pendle (I think he's had enough of the graveyard shift sets....hehe). As per Mr. Pendle played a cracking set, did a very memorable mix with FPI Project "Risky" and Joy & Joyce "Babe Babe"....heard that one a few times fella.......

Then the clock struck 21:45 and Phil and Barrie were flapping a bit as Mr. Jepson (John J) was no where to be found.....anyway he turned up at 21:52 (by my watch anyway)......then got himself ready and played a belting set as he always does....started with something he used last time......don't know wot it is, some long deep trancey intro then into his usual style of original tunes....

Then the moment I was waiting for and I was well gone by this time.......23:00 Barrie Jay took to the decks........absolute sheer class that's all I can say......started with Dayeene "It's alright" then it's a bit of a blur after that, but I can remember the tunes I've recently grown to love..........

of course there are more but other tunes that stood out for me on the night were GALAXYS "CONFUSION", 2 BAD MICE "BOMBSCARE, and not forgetting Andy Pendle dropping LIQUID CRYSTAL "POWER WITHIN REMIX" wot a beltin tune that is.........evil drop !

So onto Mr. Baker.....and this is where it goes a bit hazy for me.....lol I know it went a bit 94 and he played a bit of synth......Barrie was supposed to twat anyone who played any synth.....but nevertheless I was happy.

Well done to Keith and Sam who finished the night off in style......went a bit quiet towards the end and I said this to Phil before 9-3 is more than enough.....

Well, at last someone has started a review off :p

Me, Neil, Tim (ILP) , Biskit, and Nics (Miss Cola) set off for blackpool around 9, got to the club to find a rather nice layout, reminded me slighty of maximes but more up to date and nice furnishings lol.

Anyway, walked across the dancefloor to be greeted my sal (ivory), bob 'very mashed' skipton haha, chris 'already bopping around the place' angels, barrie jay and some other peeps. The music was pumping, but the first thing i noticed was some MC givin it death on the mic and some guy lovin it smiling his head off, tbh i was slighty put off by the 'young mc' as his voice was louder than the music and my first thoughts were 'oh dear, get him off ffs' .....anyway thankfully he didnt stay on a permanant rant all night. :cops:

Was enjoying the tunes, when everybody else came in, Vee plus piglet, Superdooperdan, Woody, S-J, V.A, Dj Britalian (Nice to meet ya), Dj Fantazia (Same again, was nice to meet you too) , LouLou, Antz, HikkyB, Lora, Sonz, little sam, Mr Lee .... i think that was everyone, sorry if i missed someone out.

By the time everyone was in John J was next up and i must say 'for me' was one of the best sets of the night, he started off with some top techno tuna, my ears pricked up and a huge smile slapped my face, oooow i was ready for a dance!! \o/ :D .......i think after john was barrie, who played some fantastic tunes and by this time i was well on the dancefloor along side, woody, bob 'crazy legs' skipton :rofl: , god you made me laugh, ha! , Hikky B, Britalian, Fantazia, S-J, Sal, Dan tim and Neil, oh and a breif appearance by biskit, :D .

I think chris baker was on after barrie, and again played another great set, i was joined on the dancefloor by John J, lolol you made me laugh loads, we were just in the middle of pulling off some wavy arm shinanigans when bob skipton burst into a whole series of crazy leg moves which made us stop and stare, :rofl: !!

Anyway night as a whole was fanfeckintastic, i enjoyed it all night and even though im not a massive italo head i loved the tunes and danced pretty much all night, the mc's were abit too much for me, apart from irie, who knew when to speak and when not to. The atmosphere was great, didnt notice any bad vibes, the club wasnt as busy as what i thought it would have been but it still rocked! :D

Me and neil were approcached by a guy doing keyring photos, lol, so we have a nice souvenir from the night , im only glad he got us at the beginning of the night and not the middle or end! :fekked:

Well, what more can I add that hasn't already been said? Not a lot really LOL!

Choon after choon after choon! They just kept coming... phones: :D Thought everyone played absolutely kerwality sets, even though there was a couple of cheeky synth tunes slipped in, it didn't stop the place rocking.

Nice to meet a couple of new peeps - Bob Skipton, DJ Fantasia and Lora Loves Sonz :thumbsup: And even though I'd met DJ Britalian once before it was good to have a natter this time, coz the last time you was having a hard time trying to form sentences! lololol :p

Only downer for me was the MCs who wouldn't shut the fuck up. Now I don't mind a bit of MCing - keyword there "bit" - but it was like listening to the Channel 4 races for 5 hours! :cops: It might not even have been so bad if you could understand what they were babbling on about, but it was just an incomprehensible noise! :naughty:

But apart from that, it was fucking mint! :D

well, had a mint night.... loads better than last time I was there and it was full of maximes scally wags in rave gear (they had some horrible bouncy house type stuff which was supposed to be zone :naughty: :mad: )

I think everyone's already been mentioned.... big ups to the driving crew tho-dan and woody-ta for that! :D

Hope there's another, just a shame it's so far away-oh, and the mc's..... ;)

Had an absolutely belting nite :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

got there bout 10:30 and got miself a drink to start the nite. John j was on the dex and there was quite a few ppl on the dance floor. Met up with all the OSA crew and went straight to the dance floor

The tunes were spot on all nite long, kept me dancing all nite long :D set of the nite for me was barrie jay's, beast after beast was played by him. The only downer was deffo the MC's . . . kept goin all the way thru tunes and mixes, totally too loud could here them more than the tunes at one point :mad: next time leave the mic's at home

Nice turn out from the OSA lot loads I know and a couple I met for the first time: Dj Fantazia and Chris Angels.

Didin't need no chemical help at all, the tunes kept me goin all nite long phones: ;)

Massive thanks to Chris Baker for the tune ID ;) and huge respect to phil and who ever else was involved in the nite

Top venue, top atmosphere and top tunes = absolutely awesome nite :thumbsup:

Must do it again some time.

Big up to the usual mash up crew afterwards too, yet another messy one :fekked: glad i had mon/tues off work :p

For all those that didn't go . . . you missed a belter of a nite :naughty:

I had a proper good boogie to the point where my feet were really hurting walking back to the car and I couldnt wait to get my boots off and trainers back on...

Yeah there were a fair few scally wags and birds dressed well bad random but the corner we had pinched for the OSA lot was a safe haven so it was kool with no stress....

Gaz & Dave thanks coming with me :) it twas a pleasure...

As well as it being so nice to properly catch up with everybody! :love:

Trace you got it spot about us all being on the dance floor togther its been a while :thumbsup:

Finally... Mr. Skipton twas an absolute pleasure to meet your mad head! You had me & Trace buzzing off you all night long! :thumbsup:

And Ivory, god bless ya chick, you proper kept me on that dance floor with you loving it and smiling at your near "Chav Bashing" :thumbsup:

But all in all... Loved it!

All round good night with an excellent friendly atmosphere and some top tunage.

I am glad I took Monday and Tuesday off work.

Was good to be working with all those dj`s again.

The 92-93 theme seemed to get lost a couple of times but apart from that thought all the dj`s kept the crowd entertained well.

Good to see a nice turn out from the ID heads and a lot of support from OSA too - huge massive thanks to all those that turned up. Managed to put a few more names to faces too. Simply a pleasure to meet you all.

The night was full of silly bizarre incidents, Mr Skipton`s Dancing, John J running around aeroplane stylee (no idea why), Chris Baker rubber-legging it on the floor and some bird giving this fella the biggest slap I have ever heard across the face (I guess the answer was no then).

A big huge massive thank you to all those that helped with the night, big shout out to Phil for organising it and especially to all those that turned up for their support.

Q) When does VA draw breath in ?

Only downside of the night was some completely sham, unnecessary and amateurish mc`ing ruining a lot of vocal tunes, as they always do. The night would have been far better without them.

My God, soon be weekend and we can do it all again at LuvLuv.

i enjoyed meself :D had a right buzz on the dancefloor all nite, redbulled up to fook:thumbsup: Tunes were excellent in the most part, thought the club was good if a little too large, but the MCs were as bad as ive ever seen in my life!!! Totally ruined every single set:mad: i mean shut the fuck up for at least a minute!!! the white guy was the worst of a very bad bunch, Mr Irie was marginally better but not by much.. i was amazed to hear an old tape a few months back and the mc was actually good, only adding bits in the build up, and shutting the f*ck up for the vocal bits.. I was amazed to find out it was the man like Jimmy himself..
The Mcs are getting too big for their boots imo and trying to outstage teh DJs. Will defo put me off goin to another if theyre on again. I sincerely hope they werent paid, but i doubt it. :rolleyes:

It was a shame tbh because with a slightly smaller more intimate venue, and no MCs, that could have been THE night of the year so far.

Thank god for Luv2Luv and its MC free zone:thumbsup: :king:
