The missus came home early last night while I was watching the game. Luckily before she opened the door I managed to put some porn on and get me lad out to save embarrassment.

Have the African Mafia got to Rooney!! He looks a shadow of the player we've seen this season for Man U and during qualification.

Of course i aint solely pointing the finger at Rooney - as a team we've been shocking but i'm just trying to find any excuse, apart from us simply being shit, for how bad we've been playing!! Rooney can't even trap the ball and doesn't look interested in competing - it's weird !! i wouldn't mind if we were up against decent teams who were bossing the game but we're in, quite possibly, the easiest group ffs

I know it's important to get behind the team etc but if i'd saved for months/years, spent thousands and trecked to Africa to support the team and they put on that shower of shite, i too would probably be booing!!

Because the players are treated like kings and paid ridiculous money, I don't think they have any appreciation of how difficult it is for 'normal' people to save their time & money to treck over and support - if i were a player, i'd be that embarrassed i'd be offering to refund people's match tickets!!!!!!!

On a rant...sorry - just extremely frustrated :S

I thought Rooney looked very frustrated very little real service to him also at times he had to get so deep just to get the ball it was crazy maybe he is still carrying that injury

I think its a simple question of too much player power. They dont seem to be able to handle Cappello's oldskool authoritarian style. Fridays performance was akin to a bunch of sulking under 10s. The fact of the matter is that some of these 'players' will still be picked for England no matter who's in charge. Personally, i feel sorry for Cappello. Granted, some of his choices recently have been questionable but you expect the players to still put in some kind of effort regardless of playing out of position. That was sadly missing on Friday. 1 half chance is 90 minutes is appalling. He has to drop Rooney for Wednsday.

Top result :D

Certainly doing a better job than England are, (Even tho the results are the same)

But to think they are 79th in the Fifa Rankings tells you something, I just love the whole vibe of it, the fact that there expectations are not that high just means they can go out there and enjoy it.

They could even make it into the last 16. Would love that to happen!!!
