Rabbit - Are they tasty?

I fancy having a bit of rabbit for my tea tomorrow night. Can anybody tell me if it's cheaper from the butchers, or a pet shop?

My aunty has 2 pet house rabbits, they're cute but I want to stuff them for teddies coz they're so soft. Lol.

I had some very nice rabbit toad in the hole thing at this lovely restaurant a bit back, was realllllllllly nice!

Can be fatty & quite dark gamey meat.
Best cooked slowly IMO, stews & pies & casseroles & things

mmmmm, half way between white plump farmed meat, and brown gamey, rich wild meat...i love it.

also, because it's one of those things that has split the meat eaters of Britain down the middle (ie it's a bit wrong) it makes me enjoy it all the more! I could never kill my own meat, so respek to those who do it for me...I'd love to believe I could 'grow my own' one day...but i like to get attached to things! :S

Well, the pet shop seems to be cheaper pound for pound, but when I asked what they taste like, the lady hung up on me.

Are large ones tastier than small ones?

I really need to know as I'm going to get a few this evening on my way home from work.

You sure your not finding them on the A38 like that bloke from Bodmin who picks up any road kill to eat for dinner? That would save you a few Quid.

No times arnet that hard yet I got woodland all around with tasty wildlife to harvest
There is a guy near newquay airport, who i think lives exclusively on roadkill , hes about 65 i recon so it cant be all bad
