Twas Jacks 74th birthday but he left the Rovers early and went back to the house. Sat in the chair and died falling asleep, was really emotional cus the song i mentioned above was playing on the wireless and Vera came for him and took him away aww! Im a big saft old bugger aint i :$

It was quiet moving, but I think the director made a mess of the ending. They should have just left it when the camera panned up to the night sky and not returned to the Rovers.

It would have been a far more powerful closing scene in my opinion.

According to the paper a lot of the music they used on Jack's last ep of Corrie was his favourite songs, or songs he'd recorded over the years, cos he was a bit of an awld crooner on the sly and that.
