It starts with Sasha's MFI mix and the 2nd one is Shaboo Trance on the B-Side.

Anyone got any ideas on the unknowns.

I've got Neil Jackson added on facebook and sent him the links. Will be interesting to see if he remembers the unknowns.

The 2nd ID has a funny cheesy vocal moment but that break part is quality.

I just got a message off Neil Jackson on facebook and he confirmed this defo wasn't him on the mix...

Now I am confused. Only other person I can think of here is Sasha. Both sides start with Sasha remixes and the scratching is spot on also.

Some very 'Sasha-esque' tunes on there (STILL not listened to this set :$ :$ ) but did Sasha ever play Sequins ?
The reason I was thinking Sasha was due to how well the tape was put together and the scratching... The other issue is that I don't know if this is actually Sequins.

The guy I got this tape from had a box of tapes from 90-91. He used to go to Sequins every week back in the day. I kind of assumed that the tape was made by one of the residents there but now I'm not sure on that.

The only thing I know 100% this tape had written on was 'Neil tape 3'. I guess that doesn't mean anything tho.

Just had a quick scan through this and does indeed sound like a belter of a tape..

Recognise the 2nd ID myself...

To me this sounds more like a tape done in a bedroom/studio rather than a club.

Ta for the upload... very rare I bother to d/l an old set these days but think its a wise choice...:)

Cheers for the ID on that one. Will update the tracklist. Would love to know who actually put this tape together. If it wasn't Neil J, who else could it have been??? :p

I've emailed my mate who had the original tape to see what he reckons.

I agree it is definately a bedroom mix but someone put some serious thought into this mix. Some cracking scratching too.

Barrie J or Jonno will probably know who this was I would imagine.

Wasn't it Green Bins who did Sequins on a Saturday? Possibly John Jepson? God knows, its so long ago, where did I put my Mixmags :D
I know Mix Factory took over around mid 91 but no idea who the residents were.

I'm now thinking this tape might not have had anything to do with sequins actually. Someone must have made it!  :p
