Myself and Neil decided to look into the origins of this elusive track and we have (after some top detective work) found out exactly who it was made and sung by and have even been in contact with the guy who co wrote and sang it who has confirmed this! :D

The tune is actually called 'Stomper' and is by 'The Peas and Beans of Consciousness' who are Jon Spong and Ray Wilson who were the lead singer and 1st Keyboard player of the 90's indie band 'Natural Life' :) Ray Wilson wrote the backing track and Jon Spong wrote and performed the hip house rap and chant. There were only 200 copies pressed and distributed through the Tr1be network all around the globe! So deffo rare!!

So there you go folks , must say i was rather excited when listening to some tracks of theirs and it dawning on me that he was definitely the singer of peas & beans!! :D

Check this video out of him singing one of their tracks live ;)

YouTube - Natural Life - Strange World Live

and here's the Youtube link to 'The Peas & Beans Of Consciousness' - 'Stomper' as it should now rightly be called! :D \o/

Looking at their history on oggs (as Natural Life) maybe they didn't do too well with the indie stuff and their label suggested a dance move - was often the case for a lot of bands at that time...

Silky will be gutted now it has a proper name

Good to see you posting again btw :D

They were ACIDHOUSE before they became a band

They were part of the Amnesiacs / early Shoom scene

( ie opposite of the Soup Dragons)
