Well, its been nearly a month that I've been on my GDL law course, and I'm still struggling to sit down and do the work after numerous exams and mini tests reveal that I am no longer the smart arse I assumed I was lol :$ :$
I am so much more excited about the impending girls night out round Manchester, and more worried about what to wear than I am about my studies!!! I think the shock of being knocked down a peg or two has freaked me out. I really need to get motivated. Everyone else seems to be coping really well, but I just cannot find the balance.

Anyone else got anything they really need to sit down and get stuck into?
Anyone got any tips for jumping in at the deep end and being able to stay there??
I need Mr Motivator for the mind.

Yep theres absolutely no easy way round it, law has zero blagability potential, pack your belongings & move into the library, get used to eating, sleeping, & socialising there, & spending all your money on text books, kiss goodbye to your life my pretty.....muhuhahahaaaaaa.

I searched high & low for those books for you babe, only to discover after a week of searching that my mum has already lent them out! Really sorry babes, they usually hold book sales though where past students sell theres on for cheap, you managed to get hold of any?

Heres some ways Holz & I kept our spirits up during our all nighters at sheffield lib...lol

You can bet your arse everyone is just the same - as in they all think everyone else is coping better.

There are no quick fixes for mental motivation though I don't think, it's just a matter of getting started. That's certainly sometimes the hardest part for me. But once you've made that start it just seems to steam roll from there.

What do I know though - it's a long long time since I did any serious academic work :S

That's exactly what I was going to say!

I used to set myself a date for starting an assignment, go out on the piss at every oportunity for a couple of weeks before hand, and then just get stuck in and become a hermit untill it was done. Free pizza delivery was great as well, coz a lot of the time I never even stopped to make food, lol
