I felt totally spoilt by all the dj's last nite who each played a tune (sometimes 2 especially for me ) but i will reveal those as my review unfolds hahaha. So i hope u have ur feet up n r sitting comfortably? oh u r ? ok then i will begin

i will start with superdan + woody phones: phones: phones: wot u want me to review each of u seperately? ok then
SUPERDAN the threw out some pure old skool last nite the last time i had heard a couple of the tunes u played was back in 89/90 n was at shaboo n i do believe it was sasha who played them admittedly he made a bit of a wank job of mixing them back in them days (i have recorded evidence of this probably on one of my million cassettes) but superdan u did them harmonic justice blending them perfectly
WOODY ..........woody woody my little babe magnet buddy wot is it now nearly a year of doing the decks .....absolutely phenomenal the talent that u have shown for the wheels is untrue the term a duck to water springs to mind they r like putty in ur hand (yes i know like most women lol) when u dropped that accapella of colonel abrams "trapped" over "last rhythm" it was faultless n wow did that make me really sit up, u should b so proud of what u have achieved in this last year so big up to u

together b2b u guys gel well n look like u have a laugh constantly

next up DJ FINK

who's wings r the "WHEELS OF STEEL" especially when u ripped "bfi - why not jazz" through the place ....(btw thank u so much for playing that for me was upstairs talking to cano at the time with saysay when i heard opening bars of it poor say say got dragged down stairs at such speed lol) u kicked up the place no problem n hiya to mrs

also was nice to meet u
by this time superdan, woody woodster , n vvveeeeeeeeeeeeeee was on floor i believe ilovepiano was in there n mad miss saysay n i had just come back from FLYERING round town pmsl tracey i cant believe i went out n did that again u total fuckin loony lol mind u cant believe we were arguing with those lesbians about admission prices n after alll there absolute shite that the drunkenly try to speil at us the stoooopid women ended up in there pmsl
Anyhooooo back to the night eh
next up mr barrie jay n the dancefloor crammed up on us and u played j.j tribute for me i nearly went through floor when i asked superdan well how do u follow that up n he told me g& v jay

up nxt the men that r cano n biskit (pmsl @ miss cola n that screech she did across dancefloor when biskit came on how funny was that)
now admittedly i did wander at this point n went stood by toilet area talking to veeeeeeeeeee who has stepped of the bus from babetopia n is a total dream (how r u babe so good to meet u ) then i was yacking for i dunno how long with vinylanimal (wow this guys knowledge is incredible) n funny how we both have same views on wots morally right n wrong with ppl , oh i do know how long we were chatting for till that bouncer came hurrying through those doors asking if i was ok coz on cctv upstairs coz we were talking with arms he thought u were having a go at me n came to sort it out how fuckin funny was that at the time eh pmsl again n again n again
After we got told to stand in main area suddenly from upstairs came the looming figure of "bonkers" jonkers wot a cool top wonderfully nutty man i have such a giggle with u jonkers u r an A class loony but its all in a good way n it was then time to rip up the dancefloor once more coz mr chris biskit u absolute delight (although u do know i wasnt impressed with ur statement earlier *im kidding just ggggrrrrrrrrrr*lol) played "living house" (how spoiled did i feel last night eh) n again it was like the osa loony party on the floor superdan ilovepiano vee miss cola woody woody woodster jonkers the gorgeously beautiful misss saysay mr jay alan vinylanimal (he was on floor just not dancing) myself n any one else i missed all screaming "coz i got thirty minutes to talk" it was one of those memorable moments
My hands r aching this morning from applauding all the dj's so much if i have missed saying hiya to anyone i met last night off here im really sorry but i had a great great night n it ended in the best way it could of with mr cano doin wot he does with such quality n class playing out those classics

Had an absolutely quality night. Got there a little bit later than I'd planned on, think it was around midnight when I finally got in.

There was some serious piano tunes getting played, and some serious shapes being made by the OSA peeps on the dancefloor! Christ knows what everyone must have thought of us lot going mental to that Living House tune!

And I have to mentioin about me and superdan "doing the trumpet bits" off We're Easy To Love, hahahah! And I think at one point we might even have been playing "air violin"

If you've not been down to one of these nights yet, then get to the next one!

Reeto . . . first of all nice reviewage ivory i remember the convo we had bout ppl doin a 2 line review

Anyways . . . what a quality night, got there at bout 8:45ish and heard the last part of sy69's set, playing some good quality stuff then finishing with denise lopez phones:

The club was dead, it was like we were at home playing on the dex (it were mint )

Me and woody then did our set, started playing the well known tuneage like hi-liner and lee marrow and such. 6 tunes into our set it was still ded so decided to just bang what we wanted on

Boy did i have fun fink and the missus (soz dont know ya name :$ ) then entered the building so we had a bit of a crowd . . . at this point I had took full advantage of the 2 for 1 bottles and was well buzzin behind the dex.

Up after us was Dj Fink . . . and he now got the growing crowd on the dancefloor starting with love can do (quality mate) I finally gave into temptation and got on the dancefloor due to BFI getting played.

Well done fink mate, you're a quality dj mate . . . enjoyed ya set from start to finish and i think everyone else did too

At this point I was pissed as a coot due to the apple sourz just in time for the set of the nite, done by the zone master BARRIE JAY playin tune after tune after tune

Whoever was in that place was up on their feet dancing, ILP dint take you long neither saw ya feet tapping and ya had a look over and thought to yaself 'lets go for it' think daybreak was the one that got ya on ya feet

The club didn't get full but there was just enough ppl and the atmosphere was mint everyone just there dancing their socks off as barrie pulled out some reeeeeeeeet beasts. Once again soulmasters took the top spot for me

Step too went down a treat quality set mate, i could honestly say I couldn't get bored of ur sets

We said we would be going home after barries set but we were well enjoying ourselves so decided to stop for biskit and canos set, playing a nice mixture of oldskool and italo, s express, black box, band in a box

Ya took over where barrie left off, keeping the now pissed as foooook crowd dancing till the end

Highlight of the night (apart from the tunes of course ) was the fun had from the giant smiley face that managed to be the star of many photos, lol . Did ya end up taking it home alan??? Get them pics up cos there was some funny as fooook photos taken

Big shouts to the usual travel crew . . . VEE WOODY and the ever so entertaining MR VINYL ANIMAL (every person should have one )

Good to see the regulars, cano, saysay, biskit, nic, fink, mrs fink, sy, jonkers, ILP, barrie jay, alan and good to finally meet and have a chat with ivory/ebony/what ever name ya are lol. We still on for the deal we talked bout??? soz if i missed anyone but its been a long day since the event happened

next up mi lads, on course for the usual beast fest i've come to expect. finite deets escape me at the mo, in car cider consumption an a prompt tip from saysay that the bar was 2 for 1 are the culprits.
dispite restrictions, recall the likes of fire, marrow, jil, hi-liner, etc. up to the usual standards, u once again did me proud!!

fink was to follow (nice to meet you at long last), startin wiv blue tattoo. memory began to fail me at this point, but i failed to feel the need for a rant, so must have been good!!!

jonkers - mad as cheese, nice to finally meet ya!!

ivory - blees ya boots, another long overdue name to face connection!! sure i'll be seein more of ya hun!!

the usual suspects, alan, ilovepiano, nic , an saysay (did ya get 2 the chemist, lol, blonde!!) , always a pleasure!!


in conclusion, i cant remember the last time i buzzed, pretty much consistently from start to finish!!!! imo, its a long overdue feelin, an its bout time folk realised that hard tunes = cnuts throwin their wieght about, an remembered that a mint atmosphere is the key to a successful an thoughroughly enjoyable evenin!!

Twas another all round good night.

Although the weather and the football played a part in it not being as busy as usual it did pick up in the end - and it`s quality not quantity that counts.

I was going down for a good night out regardless so Chris asked me to play - a pleasure as usual.

I enjoyed the DJ`s sets and the company completely.

Although its been mentioned the highlight was deffo the OSA Vocal Ensemble singing their hearts out to Living House whilst the world looked on.

He he he he.

Top night, top music, top people.

Alan did take home the smiley (so you know who to send the bill to)

I think he has since slept with it.

I think he may propose before the end of the week.

first off thanks to B&C for letting us loose once more, really really enjoyed playing on friday shame the weather was so nice as the whole town was pretty dead, everyone must have been home barby-ing it up!
after we'd played our first few tunes and realising that we were playing for the OSAers that were out we dug a bit deeper and started with some beastie italo piano stormers, which were gooooooooooooooooooooooooood the man like Fink took over and played an absolutely storming set, which had the lovely mrs fink (louise is her name dan lol) and co rocking the dancefloor
it wasnt long before the place was starting to get a bit busier and as we got pisseder, the dancefloor came calling and we pretty much stayed there till the end, after the man like Barrie Jay , and the Rezzys had dropped such fine tuneage had another top nite, lots of happy smiley faces, great choonage, and cheap beer ( especially cheap early on)

Turned up at around 11pm with my Nic , wasnt really upto going out this weekend, but anyway, got there n the DJ that is Fink was on the decks, really enjoyed the set, was a seriously typical Park Hall set, nice one m8
Barrie was on next n da tunes are always tip top, n peeps by this time were up dancing to the sounds of the Jay, ur set was muchly appreciated m8
Played wid da Cano, n even though wasnt really in the mood, we made sure we dropped some pearlers, n is always top to play along side the C, coz you dont know what he's gonna drag outta his box next, tiz always a race to get certain tunes on lol, n he's beat me twice now woth a certain tune lol
Sorry about missing Sy, Woody n Superdans set, Jonkers kept sayin ive missed some right tunage.
Not as many peeps this time @ the Abyss, but all in all still a top night.
Nice one to all who came, you know who you are. Will have more of a chat next time
