The bleepy Out of Control tune is an obvious one, its one of the many LFO copys of the time, could be Fantasy UFO.

The Megaupload links are still active!!!!:fekked: :fekked: :fekked:

I,m 90 percent sure these are labelled wrong and are from Venus after reading this
"DJ SY was a student in Nottingham during the Acid House days and following college decided to stay in the city. He was DJing professionally in clubs from around 1989 with a mixture of hip-hop, soul and house. He gained a residency around 1990 at the Nottingham club Venus. "
from DJ SY Profile - Old Skool / Rave

And listening to an old Rave FM tape from Feb91 where he says that he aint playin at Venus anymore because the management wanted a change of style of music so he left.

I have a feeling that Kool Kat changed it's name to Venus in 1991 (maybe it's late 1990?), that's prob where the confusion comes from. Oldskool Al knows I think. :)

I went to both Venus and KoolKat and they are two different clubs. going by this mix i'd say it was from Koolkat cause Venus was always more house. Koolkat was formely called the Garage.

It could be either

Sy Djd at Venus in 90 & it was he more rave / hardercore sound - It had flurescent painted walls

Then it changed again ( late 90 / early 91) & went a lot more housier / Italo / balearic with Tim / Laurie / Paul Wain Christian then all the Flying nights & guests

I only ever remember Alistair at the Kool Kat but Sy may have done it

Kool Kat became the Garage again later ( It was always a live venue years - Jimi Hendrix played there)

When Brian Selby from Selecatdisc bought it early 80s he realised he didnt have a DJ . he asked a young lad from the shop to DJ - Graeme Parks first gig who did it until late 80s
