As everyone who knows me knows HazyDayz Either by word of my mouth or someone elses or maybe they went or maybe you have never herd of the place at all..
Well where should I start ?
I like most people on here partied in the late 80s early 90s clubbing around my home town liverpool The QuadrantPark

was the place I used to go more often as it was a stones throw away from where I live. My other haunts where The drome over the water in birkenhead, The State, Fallows,the cokey or coconut grove as it was known and a load more places driving around late at night looking for somewhere to party.
I had some brilliant crazy mad nights out and loved every minute of it all and as the years passed I always looked back to them nights and would always talk about them buy the choons but nothing was like being in the club back then.
I always wanted to find another place that was gonna catch the magic so I tried out a few rave nights out but nothing seem to come close to back then and I just thought it was the past and I was never gonna get another chance to feel the way I did back then with the people and the music and the feeling and closeness like a family there for one thing THE MUSIC....
I was looking online one day when and noticed an oldskool event called Hazy Dayz @ the ZanziBar in liverpool Mike knowler was playing who I knew was one of the quad DJS so I bought a ticket told a few mates of the time and thought Great will try this place out see what its like.
The zanzibar never rung a bell until I walked into the place got there early to have a few drinks and thought Ive been here before ???? Then it came to me This place used to The circle club which I had partied in 90s It had been 13-14 years since id stepped in the place but it had not really changed at all.
The place slowly started to get more and more faces in and before I new it the choons where rocking the place and everyone there was there for a good time everyone saying hello alright mate where you from and a few faces I had not seen in years poped up.
The people who where running the night came over said hello introduced themselves and made you feel really welcome stupid arse me decided to get dressed up like a loon why not I always just want to make people laugh so I bought an Elvis suit and grabbed me video camera as I thought this night was gonna be a one off little did I know I was gonna party in this place for every month for over 2 years.
From the start I felt like this was gonna be a goodnight and It was everything just seemed to fit the place the people the DJS it was like I had just stepped into a time machine I don't know how they had done it people up dancing screeming and clapping everytime a choon was dropped. HANDS IN THE AIR lights and beers what more could I ask for and I had a camera in hand to capture it OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YES PARTY TIME..
Being I was hitting 30 and was feeling a bit old in the other night clubs as alot of donking choons and 17-18 year olds bopping around and me thinking This is a sample of a choon Ive got with a scouse house bounce on it. Plus the unfriendly feeling That was in the air in some places I just thought I wish there was someone who would put a bloody good night on.
HAZYDAYZ ...had hit the mark and the rest is now history I could ramble on with more and more but they say a picture tells a thousand words well video can tell a whole lot more so I am in the process of remastering sound and picture quality and re-upping all the video I have.
Loads I have not put up before so If you went to hazydayz at The zanzibar or the academy or you just herd it was good or maybe you played there or was one of the people who made it what is was then this Is for you to enjoy.
