Faffing (Yorkshire term for messing about doing something that would normally take 30 seconds)
Tinkering (Yorkshire term for fiddling with remote controls, tunes, airconditioning in cars, or anything else that has buttons)
Not trying to have a dig at men, but why is it impossible for guys to:
a) leave the house immediately without disappearing for 5 minutes to do something mysterious like put on a coat
b) leave the tv/tune/air conditioning on for more than one minute before changing it to something else
??
