Do people still buy the Christmas Radio Times? I mean now-a-days all you gotta do is press guide on your Sky remote and see whats on.

I used to love it when it was released as a kid and look forward to all the good Christmas films that would be on and see which Bond film was on during boxing day.

hehe aye, me mother would sit doon the day it came out and go through it circling stuff - one colour for stuff to watch, another colour for stuff to "video" :S it was this whole mathematical operation like cracking the fucking enigma code to make sure nobody missed owt they wanted to see, or if you were gonna be in the pub what would be getting video'd. Once the operation of the coloured pens was complete, it'd then become just summat else to bicker about. You could always have a pop at someone for "hogging" it, or forgetting to set the aforementioned video...

Simpler times, eh :)

I was always more bothered about arranging sessions on the lash than what was on telly mesen.

Movin' on up.
The Radio Times and TV Times were essential Christmas reading in our home years ago.

Now papers give away tv guide supplements and you have guide plus and sky.

I guess not that many folk still get it.

Used to be an essential purchase for sure and usually both together:cool:

Rarely watch the box these days though, so a lot of the excitement of predicted films/proggys combined with the unexpected features has gone:|

Nice to know they're both still goin though:thumbsup:

My mum still does the Radio times Enigma coding - especially since they went hi-tech and have an Hard Disk recorder

hell yeah  Xmas tradition in every house I reckon :king:
I even used to circle the ones I wanted to watch and everything  :$ :vandyk:
(then not end up watching most of them anyway) :axe:

Ahh...picture the scene.... copy of the Radio times on the side, next to a a net of satsumas, a bowl of nuts (with shells still on) , a pair of nutcrackers and a bottle of Advocaat....Pure Chrimbo of yesteryear :king: :D

actually, maybe not so yesteryear, as only yesterday I ate a satsuma and drank half a bottle of Advocaat. Now all I need is to crack some nuts...
