Two mixes here to download from the legendary Cafe Del Mar

Havent grabbed them myself yet,but Im sure they'll be of interest to one or two people on here ;)

Jose Padilla - Cafe Del Mar

Phil Mison - Ambient Ibiza

I have got one or 2 tapes from there somewhere in the garage, unless they were thieved at some point, which wouldnt be suprising :rolleyes:

Has anyone else got any genuine Del Mar recordings?

i rekon these are between 89-94 because phil mison didnt get a break until 91, though im gonna look a plonka if they from last year eh

José used to sell mixtapes at the Café Del Mar. Each cassette had a photocopied picture of the sunset on the cover and some had handwritten tracklistings inside. The mix hosted on Hugh's site is the first cassette in the series. I bought all of them in '91 but lost them several years ago.

I used to always buy some of these while I was there in 89,90,91 they were such good mixes wish I still had them.

i prefer these tapes to the cafe del mar compilation series, they just seem raw and not like the cafe del mar volumes,

been doing some investigations as to the tracklist for the padilla tape, apart from the tunes iv up'd (phil mison tape) here are some from the padilla tape,

i think the tape is 1990 by the sounds of it.
