Ok so my Mum just sent me money to buy my 3 boys stuff for Christmas I have like $700 to spend between the 3 of them, now what do i buy them that they have everything already?

10 year Old - Main present is a PS3 but already got him 5 games plus I already have about 25 games for mine that I never use

7 year old - Main present a PC have 100's of learning PC games already, plus he already has a Xbox 360 and got him all the games he wants for Christmas already plus i have about 45 of mine they use

4 Year old - Has a Wii which I obtain the software by other means than cash lol

They all have bikes, quads, paintball guns, air rifles, bow and arrows the likes of what else is there. They already got 1000's of stupid Transformers, Ninja Turtles and the likes of which I end up throwing most away every few months.

I have a DVD collection of about 3000 DVD's already and have no room for more.

Im totally lost as to what to buy them now, clothes aint an option either as they have way more than enough already.

Any obscure Ideas flying around there?

Cheers

It was great getting presents at christmas time when we were kids, because apart from birthdays and maybe the odd time between them, we never got any, so we probably appreciated them more;)

These days as you say, kids seem to have everything, that's why I give my nieces and nephews money to spend on whatever they want and given that they can't spend it until at least Boxing Day in the sales, it goes a lot further too:thumbsup: :)

Nothing is the obvious thought.

Stick it in a college fund for them?

Buy toys with it for orphans or sick children?

Or how about give it back to your mum and say "Cheers but we've already got everything, why don't you treat yourself to something nice"

My kids already have the money for college/university where ever they want to go in the world, from their American grandparents (Big time oil field) Which is real good for me :)

I can honestly say that I am not loaded down with cash or anything its just that i spend just about all my money on the kids. I don't smoke, drink, do drugs any more so don't waste money on any of that stuff,. Where I live its 40 miles to the nearest cinema and there is simply nothing to do out here in the country that really involves spending money. So generally I give my kids everything that my parents were not able to give me as a young un. I will tell you that they are never bored

Why do I feel like I'm defending myself here lol

No need to defend yourself from me. I just offered a few tongue in cheek suggestions.

What I would say is that I grew up in the countryside and was bought very little. Made our own fun and loved every second of it. Some of the nicer things I had, I often had contributed towards the cost of it.

There can be dangers in growing up thinking you can have whatever you want. Things that come easy are also not always loved and valued the same as something you either had to save for or wait for.

I'm sure you know that though so I will shut up!;)

That said I bet your kids love it!

Seeing that these boys have everything......

I would buy them a piggy bank each, ask them what they really would like, then I would suggest they save up for it so they can buy it themselves ...
