Am i the only person in the world that refuses to use change? I cleaned out my truck this morning and took all the change in my cup holders, centre console etc to the Coinstar change counting machine, I had enough $69 to buy my copy of Call of Duty MW 2 tomorrow lol

Coinstar take 7.5% of your money to count it .. . . 7.5p in every pound! It may even be more?

To me part of the fun is counting all your coppers into neat rows and bagging them up! Perhaps that is just me.:$

Tell you one thing, I would not save my change just to let Coinstar take a wedge though.

I know some one will probably think that the 7.5% saves you the hassle and the service is worth it, but I think it's poor economics.

Look after the pennies and the pounds will take care of themself.

Did I mention I was a farmers son from Yorkshire?

To be fair tho Ste America has the dollar bill - we have to suffer a pocket full of squiddly nuggets...

I still carry one of these in me wallet tho... reminds me of how ace you felt when you had one of em for pocket money :D

Benny I get it at 6:00am GMT thats a midnight release here in the States and im off work tomorrow anyhow :)

Nah Shooms I'm the opposite I hate $1 bills they trick you into thinking you have a shitload of money and they stretch your leather wallet when you cram them in lol. My kids do the honours of getting rid of them though so I cant save to many of em ha ha

Yeah Radish here they tale 6c per dollar but Im just too damn lazy to count them out and here if you take money to the bank like that you have to put them in coin rolls, Coinstar is a blessing in disguise to me, plus the money goes to charity anyhow so i dont mind too much

A bit of both for me, hate having change lying about so usually goes in the centre console if im in the car, and ive started a change tin in the bedroom that i put all my shrap in every night. The plus side is theres about 30 quid in there already, the downside is i end up going to the bank most days and probably spend more coz ive got no change for food at work :axe: lol

With you all the way on that dude. I'm not paying someone to count my change lol

If anyone can't count or can't be arsed, I'll count yours for 5%

Ah I just looked on the website and indeed it is a fee and not going to charity, i must have gotten confused. I see here in the USA I can also turn my coins into e-vouchers for various places and that is free.

ilovepiano - Next time I decide to clean the truck Ill give you 5% to count it and roll it, but Im not paying for your flight over here but will give you somewhere to stay ha ha

I'm too lazy to sit and count change - I haven't even got the time to do that lol

I used the machine in Mo's last year and was amazed I had about £80 in change - carried it over in 3 bags with those 100xCDR spindle case things full of change and honestly thought I would get about a tenner, £80 lol get in :D

1's, 2's, 5's & 20's go into my 8 pint whiskey jar.

Takes me a few years to fill it but when its full it holds about £200. :D

Sarah and I do the same. We count it out ourselves. We must have had £300 out in the last couple of years, which has come in far more handy than destroying my wallet leather carrying it around all day :)
