fishing...cruel or not

now i know theres a few fishermen on here. duke and ive a mate who lives for fishing. but does the fish really feel anything my mate has told me in the past that they dont feel the hook. but does he not realise the mental agony the poor bugger is gonna go through:|
just imagine the grief the fish will get of his missus, when he eventually gets let out of the net to swim home. how is he gonna explain where he has been all day and why hes got a fat lip

right this is my take on it...
i think they go through absolute agony and i dont agree with fishing for a sport but fishing for food with nets then yep, i like a nice bit o cod!!!
its the same with killing animals, wouldnt like to think think of the poor blighters in pain but i like steak and chicken.
these vegetarians that eat fish get me what is the difference between killing a pig and killing a tuna fish?????

Fishing is extemely relaxing, surrounded by lovely views and a bit of peace and quiet away from it all with a tot of nice single malt and some herb. Is it cruel ??? Thats the million $ question,i personally don,t think so after all they apparently have awful memories.More so than us lot

It is a tuff one this, i hate cruelty to animals as much as the next person, but if i did not take the time out to go fishing. I would never de-stress, and would probably end up killing someone. So i guess you have to have a balance somehow.

Im taking my daughter Yasmin for her first day of pike fising the week after next. She is only 13 but has been fising since she was 7. No dought she will totaly blow me out of the water again lie the first time i took her.

The first time i told her not to worry if she dont catch out, it takes pacients. The little bugger had 14 fish, one of which was an 8lb tentch. O myself caught feck all that day....dont you just love the way kids make a fool out of ther perents

I hate crulity 2 animals , but in my own opinion if sum 1 was to put a hook in ya lip what wud u do???? , i wud walk 2 wards then as pulling away wud hurt , fish r clever belive it or not , they can detect things (check out the korda underwater dvd's this will explain a lot , )its been proven that fish dont av nerves in the lips , (dont ask me where it was in a fishing mag )if u r a gud n dedicated fisherperson u will now how 2 play a fish in , not like these refugees that bait lines n leave em till they return the next day , this way drowns the fish which takes a lot longer 4 the fish 2 die , the way i fish u play the fish in by not dragging the fucker in , imo i think u shud av lessons if ya want to fish , by buying a N.R.L u help the enviroment , 4 example the money off thr N.R.L helps buy trees , protect other things n so on , so there u go
