Sorry for generalization ha ha but I cant mind your username.

Im thinking about heading up to NYC in January what are some decent clubs up there? I fancy a night of harder edged techno don't wanna come out of my clubbing retirement and see a bawbag like Tiesto or Paul Van Dyke lol

Any websites pointing to events would be great

thanks

Yep yep this website will tell you everything you want to know...

RA: Resident Advisor - the dance & electronic music magazine

Just choose the 'Events' and 'New York' options from the tabs at the top of the homepage.

It basically only lists techno/house nights, and shows you all the line-ups/flyers for each

Cielo and Sullivan Rooms are probably the least commercial, undiscovered of the bunch..monday nights are best at those..minimum gimps. Have a look on the site then if you wanna know about any clubs in particular i'd be happy to tell you about them

To be honest though.. the techno scene really isn't as good here...you just get the odd one off random party that turns out amazingly.
