Did anyone watch 'Small Island' on BBC 1 on Sunday evening? I thought it was a really good watch, I cannot wait for next week!
It's made me rush out and get the book which doesn't happen very often.
Seeing Ashley Walters (aka. Asher D of So Solid Crew fame) in an old style RAF uniform did more than bring a smile to my face too LOL :$
On a serious note, it was very interesting to see how Jamaicans contributed to our home front effort and the different attitudes that people on the Island had/have towards Britain. Some of the characters reminded me so much of my friends traditional Jamaican parents too, a lot 'clicked' into place for me.
If you haven't seen it, the concluding part is on Sunday at 9pm on BBC 1, and I expect they will release it on DVD.
