Shite DJ upstairs badly mixing chart dance tunes like freddie le grand and the dreadful vocal mix of chris lake as if they had just come out :| (he must have been a relation to the owners as who else would employ such a talentless cock in a premier club when there is some proper talent out there who would have done it for free)
Overall I think a change is good and just what Sankeys needed

After mustering up the courage to get my glad rags on and head to Sankeys after the amazing and talented night Id had the night before I was pleasantly surprised
Was shocked at the queue
I have never had to queue for 1/2hr to get into Sankeys :| I was very glad to see that they had brought the cloakroom in doors
I was a bit disorientated when I first got in and couldnt work out the layout, but once getting used to how busy it was, I got my bearings. I liked the first bit when you come in, but it was some what lacking in seating :S I probably am showing my age there tho as I do like to have a seat at some point during the night these days :$
The main room is tons better, like Pauly said it feels much more like a proper club, it even felt Ibizaesque
It feels bigger and I thought the music was louder, the bass certainly got in my chest anyway!
Upstairs was rammed so it was difficult to get a good look round. I liked the white walls and it did seem a lot more intimate. I would have liked it to have been a bit more chillouty tho. Once again it lacked much seating and the music was a lot to de desired :S
I did notice a lot more posers in there and quite a few dolly birds as our mate pointed out!!
But I think that might die down after a while!
Some very bizarre outfits in there, even by my standards!
Overall I thought it was a great improvement that deffo needed doing as the last few times Id been to Sankeys before the renovation it seemed to be dying a slow death :|
Id be more inclined to go on a Friday next time as even tho a lot of the music was really good and there was some definate stand out tunes, it came across a bit commercial.
