I think El Tongy is doing one of his "eclectic" selections on Christmas Eve. Don't laugh, last time I heard 1 of these it was Tong and N.Holloway for 2 hours. They played Ce Ce Rogers, Carly Simon, Nightwriters, it was a proper balearic 88 type set. If he does that again i'll give him a stay of execution 4 a week.

against my better judgement I went to a Radio One Milk BAr Reunion a few years ago - Pete Tong played an inspired set (including an acapellea of "Like a prayer"-a milk bar anthem and Depeche Mode "I just cant get enough"). So inspired was it that after being hit by JVC Force "Stong island",Charles B "lack of Love" and an Oasis/NWA bootleg, I wetn up to shake TOngys hand.
I was reprimanded by him with a "Fuck off Ripley you are monged".
Which was better than that offered by Holloway to me..
ANyway the reson for my post was to say taht Tongy was there in the day AND can play a old school set to PERFECTION
