TC's thread got me thinking and I had a think about people and their phobia's.

Do you have any and if so, dya know where they stem from??

Mine are needles, have a VERY good reason which I'm not goin into, spiders, altho not to the point where I'm mard n sheet, just wouldn't pick one up and they make me cringe, and safety. Sounds daft but if a ride doesn't look safe, i'm not gettin on it. Full stop. The mad mouse in blackpool for example, I'm NEVER goin on that shit.

I also have them weird things that make me cringe, like strawberries with the skin on. They freak me out. And also when butty does this horrible clicky thing with his fingers.......... arrrrrgh, it pisses me off!!! makin me get the heebie geebies just thinkin about it!!!

Like I've said:

spiders, veins and candyfloss.

spiders - dont know why, been as long as i can remember now. the bigger they are the bigger the phobia gets. I go mental, and get all threatening if i think anyones going to bring one near me, even if theyre the ones capturing it and rescuing me from it :$
When i was drying my hair this morning, my hairdryer caught a bit of paper on the floor and it blew it across the woodfloor , i caught this out the corner of my eye and freaked coz i thought it was a scuttling spider...it wasnt even the right colour it was canary yellow FFS  :$

veins - uurgh ive just shuddered even typing the word. Ive never been keen but its got worse the older ive got. I physically CANNOT have a blood test anymore, and havent been able to for over 10 years now. Its not needles, i worked with them for years in the past, its not blood im not fussed about that, its just veins. Last blood test I managed to have i warned the nurse of my phobia and it ended up a right bad experience, she trapped my arm in the strap and bruised it, then kept going on about 'ooh look, theres a lovely vein' etc.. (bitch.. )as i was going greener and greener , I ended up passing out mid-test and cracking my ankle on the chair as i fell . so not good! Since then.. cant have one. :naughty: Ive tried, really i have but they cant even get the tourniquet on me now, I pull away, im sobbing, shaking, jelly-legged and hyperventilating, a proper mess. Its to the point where theyve refused to carry on trying as its dangerous as they cant get near me and I wont stay still, and one time they said theyve never seen anyone so distressed :S In fact , the last one to try put me in for referral to a psychologist about it, see if they could help me get over it. I want to, I really do , as this is affecting me.. I will have to have blood tests at some point , regardless of me being a complete knob. This is the one that makes me feel completely embarrased, pathetic and humiliated after each failed attempt too. :$ I need to sort it. Sharpish. *quakes in boots* :(

Candyfloss - urrgh, cant stand next to a kid eating it at the fair or whatever, it fair turns my stomach / sets my teeth on edge. its the texture/ sound of being ripped apart i cant bear.  Cotton wool and wirewool form part of the same phobia. I can use cotton wool, but have to but ready made balls of it, no way i could tear it, or have it in my mouth, say, after the dentist. :hurl:

Erm... thats it. Even with explanations I am still officially a daft mare. :$ :D

P.S. if butty carries on with the crackin of the fingers he'll get arthritis and then he won't be able to minx ;) ;) ;) ;) grin & bear it hun ;) ;) ;) ;)

It's not crackin his knuckles, its a weird sort of flicking but I can't describe it. It just goes through me and he insists on doin it. :naughty: Like when I'm half alseep. My reply (bein half alseep of course) is, "you fuckin do that again and i'm gona punch you in the face....... I mean it"    lol. No, but seriously, it freaks me out and I don't know why!

I would never punch him in the face but it's horrible and he takes great delight in windin me up. And if, for example, I do the i'm-half-alseep-i'm-gona-punch-you-in-the-face reply then he laughs even more!!!!!

Boys eh!!!

lol.. I admit i did have one or two "ooh someones just walked over my grave" shudder-moments
p.s its not funny :| :p :D

you'd have probably pissed yourself then if you were there the time i had an unexpected encounter with a tarantula, I had near-enough a full on panic attack, streaming with tears, whirling around arms thrashing like a windmill on speed, shaking like a shitting dog, bellowing violence / death threats to the entire busfull of people we were with when they were trying to placate me :$ (very naughty but I was deliriously frightened) , the lot. Really made a prick of myself that day! :$
Fooking idiot tour guides didnt even tell us it was there they just hid it behind their back and threw it so it sprung onto some womans shoulder. Fortuantely that woman wasnt me else I'd have kicked off royal even more (or passed out in fright..)
2gunsfiring_v1.gif
but even being stood near it was enough. My mate John who I was on holiday with had to restrain me in some sort of bear-hug and he said he thought he'd end up having to slap my face to stop my hysteria :$ lol
I suck.:( now ive just got goosepimples too. uurgh.
Very very embarrasing.

SPIDERS scare the crapola outta me - my house gets loads of them :hurl: and they are always hanging on the ceiling as well waiting to drop on me as i pass by.............*SHUDDERS*
there was a massive one in bathroom the other day was like sommat out of arachanphobia - it was on a thread hanging from the ceiling just as i pulled the shower curtain open.
needless to say my brother being incredibly brave battled it for me and chucked it out of the window
(actually he just grabbed it and chucked it out by one of its legs......:hurl:)

NEEDLES.......cant have a needle without cringing and crying  and nearly passing out. had to give some blood the other week at the hospital and my mum was with me - she told me laters that people waiting outside the room waiting to be seen next probobly thought i was being murdered in there with the amount of screaming/crying i was doing - and he hadnt even jabbed me with it yet, lol

DEAD BIRDS/ANIMALS - i cant touch an animal once its dead, especially birds......they are awful and they smell. My cats have always brought me gifts in form of rodents and birds and ive always hated it. I have to get other people to remove them as to even go near the body makes me retch and be sick, i start to shake and its awful.
