Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge thanks, been hunting high and low for pre 93 oakey tapes like this one.

I must say it's a bit curious though that the few I have seen have all been from 1992? Why none from 89, 90, 91? Any ideas anyone?

Actually I have found one which purports to be from March 91. I'm trying to buy it currently, seller is a bit weird though so who knows if it will go through. If I do get it I'll most certainly be upping it here!

One other thing -- the side marked as Dean Thatcher is actually Paul Oakenfold's set unless the two of them were playing a prank that night :|

had a look thru some old mixmags, 24th oct 92 soak @ the corn exchange, was djs pickering, gordon kaye, marshall

then found this in the aug 92 mixmag club listings which looks as if it could be this night, no mention of oakenfold thou, ill keep digging

EDIT: the 1st Volante @ the corn exchange was 5th oct 91 with DJs andy weatherall, dean thatcher, terry farley, lofty, paul wain, + tyrell corp, sly & lovechild

the second Volante @ corn exchange was 7th Dec 91 but doesnt list the djs

I went to teh 1st one

I thought Moodswings - Spritual High did PA but in hindsight maybe they finished with it - Couldnt see Chrisse Hynds doing it live

Corn Exchange was awful venue - Atmosphere & Sound all got lost in the dome

Its definatly the Discotheque night 100%...As I have mentioned before these night were put on by the boys from Hip clothing in Leeds. They also did the Sexed nights. If you look at the DJs on the night Pete Morris is one who used to work there...
