Im sure as hell i had one the other night!! I was floating up my stairs, the light was off(as usual) and i also remember seeing my cats looking up at me, i kinda went to jump over the bannister type thing across to my bedroom, i over did it and bumped into my bedroom door, at that point it felt as though i was suddenly sucked back into my body and i woke up with a jump!!! Really really strange, like not like a dream, but as if it were real! :| It was really eery, and shit me up. Has anybody had one of these and if so what has happened?

Depends on what you belive in suppose.

I personally belive that you die and rot away like every other living thing, wether it be a mouse, an ant monkey whatever. There is no afterlife, no god in a fluffy heavan. We just are machines that have a lifespan and at the end of that we pack up.

If you belive that then you can't ever belive in paranormal stuff, so i say what happened was just a dream.

I had something similar once, i heard something knocking on my bedroom door, for some reason it scared me, yet when i treid to get up i was in some way paralysed. I could hear, see etc but could not shout out. It ws so real hat i was crying. When my mum came in (which i don't recall) she woke me up- but even then i was claiming that i had been awake the whole time.

I think it has more to do with waking up physically when your still in an emotional/cognive/mental sleep state, so you have some spatial, auditory, visual perception yet are unable to control it or make the link between reality and unconcious thought.

I had something similar happen to me once when i was 5, i remember having a dream about my mum being taken away from me, i woke up in a right mess and went to scream for my mum but i couldnt do it! It was terrifing, esp at 5! :(

Yeah apparently thats what it is. But that dream or whatever it was i had felt different to a normal dream, like i said, it was like i really was there floating above my stairs. Very strange and very eery. *shudders*

Yeah , Ive been having them since i was a kid , there are a few good books and tapes out there that can help you induce them. Ive got a good library of stuff about them if you need anything. The reason I started to gather information was because when I mentioned it to other people some believed me but most didnt. So after that I kept it to myself and started getting books about it. A good place to have a look is at the Monroe Institute http://www.monroeinstitute.org/ , the first three Robert Monroe books are good. Another Guy to check out is Robert Bruce http://www.astraldynamics.com/ Its a good thing to explore , I remember when I first had them I was frightened , but what Monroe and company helped me to do was overcome that. Dont just write it off as some unexplainable event try to explore it !!

Think you just had a dream trace, iv had them when i thought chris had come into the bedroom and i was shouting for him cause there was a dog sratching the floor boards under the bed, but then chris woke me up it felt so real. Ive also had the ones where you can not move but yet again ya shouting for someone to wake you up, i actually know when thse are gonna happen cause i get tingly and my body feels fuzzy just as im falling to sleep.

I would probably say most of this is due to drugs. :|

Lol, Biskit has had the best one, he rang the police once coz he thought three men had come into his bedroom and was gonna burgle the house, he actually spoke to the police when they went round to the house, and when the officer ask what they looked like he said ' The men went down in size, one tall one, one medim size one and one little guy and they all had wax jackets on. :fekked:

Cheers silocybe, i shall take a look at those links!

Skippy - Ive also had lucid dreams, i remember i was sat in a hospital waiting room once and thought 'Hang on a minute, im dreaming!' , i then woke up and then went back into my dream! Ive also known ive been dreaming whilst walking through some fields and thought 'Right, im gonna fly' and then jumped up into the air and flew around. I have also smelt things in my dream once, which apparanlty is rare, i was flying again and i could smell the clouds! :S

That 'dream' i had the other night tho, was about 20 seconds long, or at least i only remember about 20 seconds of it, the walking then floating and then just before i hit my bedroom door (which i didnt feel btw) i remember seeing a light blue apparition or something along those lines to my left, wheather it was me or something else i dont know, but i KNOW this was no ordinary dream, it definitly felt different and real!

Its not due to drugs , that was happening to me when I was a kid. That tingling fuzzy feel is your Chakras getting energised. I know I sound all hippy newage bollox , but seriously the Chakras exist and are scientifically prooved to exist.

And Skippy really enjoyed your Lucid dream story  Ive had a few of them too , whats strange is when you mentioned you looked back you were met with blank stares , this happens to me alot , its sort of at the point where youve accepted the situation and you want something extra to happen , but its like youve got no energy left.. Apprently this is the Chakras winding down..
Anyway I have enjoyed this topic as its one that I usually keep to myself. Nice one

Aaah yeah Chakras, my mum is well into that. I remember doing a test to see if any of my chakras were out of line (does that sound right?) there was one but i cannot remember which it was. :) My mum is learning Reiki at the mo, and she also does distant healing, which does actually work!! I have also been told what my animal spirit guide, if ya into all that? :) Apparantly a cat is my animal spirit, which is probably why i love cats and i also have two of my own. Im into all that kinda stuff, wheather its true or not i don't know. :) Im off to a 'mind, body and spirit' show next month, they do tarot card readings, angels and loads more. I have a pack of tarot cards and have done basic readings for people which have been quite true. :D Its quite fasinating!

" The word chakra is Sanskrit for wheel or disk and signifies one of seven basic energy centers in the body. Each of these centers correlates to major nerve ganglia branching forth from the spinal column. In addition the chakras also correlate to levels of consciousness, archetypal elements, developmental stages of life, colors, sounds, body functions" http://www.sacredcenters.com/chakras.html

I find that you can get lost with alot of the bollox what some sources say about them. But I just take the stuff I need and is usefull to me.

Miss saysay my brother has had Reiki therapy and was impressed . I think its down to the Practitioner , as you get alot of "fly by night" people trying to make some cash, Like it happens within Spiritualism , tarot etc.. Alot of these type people have set back these natural healing techniques a century , the general public are skeptical because of them. Ive seen alot of adverts for workshops and weekend seminars charging silly money , Im immediately wary of this. Tarot and the like to me shouldnt be classed as clairvoyance really as its just a form Psychiatry.

Aye i remember not feeling too well a while back and my mum rang me saying she would do some healing on me, i was rather sceptical to tell you the truth but went along with it anyway, i layed down on my bed for half an hour, later that night i was in bed and lee said to me, ''how ya feeling now?'' i said ''im fine'' and then thought oh hang on im fine! lol I'd totally forgot about feeling unwell because it had gone!! Nice one mum!

Aye i wouldnt class tarot reading as a form of clairvoyance myself, how can it be? The person whos cards are being read are choosing those cards themselves, surley thats predicting your own reading?

I once had a pack of Raider waite cards, bought them myself, which i was later told i shouldn't have done, i couldn't get the feel for them and gave them to a friend in the end. I was given a pack of cards later on the next year by a meduim friend of my mums and they have been brilliant! :) I quite enjoyed doin tarot readings, i wanted to learn what all the cards meant propley, reverse meanings also, but i never did get round to it.

I remember years ago i had a pack of astral cards, i was sat on my bed one night and out of all the cards i mananed to pick the same card about 6 or 7 times in a row!! Whats the probability of that happening?! Had some mad stuff happen with those cards! :) Id always feel a tingle when my hand was placed over a certain card. :S

If i recall my dreams, the ones i most have are being chaised. But the funny thing is i can fly, well not for long sum fecker as i have just lifted of the ground grabs mi feckin leg  and then i wake up.

No when i was a young lad i seem to have this dream quite alot, that i was in a bare white empty room. All's that was init was a floor 2 ceiling window with these white curtains blowing. I was lay in the middle of the room but couldnt move, only my head. it was well wierd cos i could here my mum shouting John move now'. I must of been sort of awake but i was now starring at my bedroom ceiling, and the feckin :crazy:est thing sarted to happen. All the walls and ceiling was closing in really slow :( it was well feckin weird. Mi mum shouted again 'MOVE' so i did, i got to the door and she was there saying your gonna be late for school.
I just hate that when you feal your awake but dreaming its well weird i thought it was only me
