Does anyone on OSA supply quality needles and carts?

Or can anyone recommend where to buy and what to buy?

A lad I know swears by Stantons,

AL500 (MK2) (the old style ones)

now he has a set of Stanton itracks (new style)

the latter was £60 for one needle, and it came with two spares, and he bought it from a local standard hi fi shop.

A bit pricy as they are £42 each, does anyone know if its really worth spending this kind of money or is it ok to go for cheapers ones? :S

My only advice is to avoid the Shure White Label's Overpriced crap!!:|

The old Stantons 500's worked well for me and i've few complaints with them

ive had the blue ortofon condordes since they came out cost me a lot more that that buzz,they are well recomended imo.if u have the stanton 500s u will notice so much difference.

oh no m8 deffo new u never know how much they ahve been hammered,it could cost u more in the long run.

I use the pro DJ ones (blue) but only coz they match my 1210 mk5s lol :$ Pro S are just as good

Igot Stanton Cartridgess and stylus for about a tenner from Sound Control in Dundee....is there a Sound Control near you ...they are dotted about all over the country now

I got a set of concorde scratch cartridges and stylus (the pink ones, one above the pro s I think) for 95 quid (cheaper thn anywhere I've seen on the net. Shop in stockport). Bought em on recommendation from a mate, so can't really compare to any others...
do me though.

I've just bought some of those blue concordes... very impressive

i use the blue dj concordes , and love em , the pink scratch concordes are very impressin aswell
best of both worlds then get the silver concordes they have the clarity of the blue dj and the sharpness for scratchin
