Am i right in thinking that whilst driving on the motorway you should be driving in the 1st lane and only use lanes 2 and 3 for overtaking and that its not alright to stay in the middle lane when the 1st lane is empty of traffic? :)

Don't even get me started on those bastards !!!

I will always, always, always use the left hand lane if there is space for me to go at the speed I am doing... same for the middle lane...

These selfish ignorant basts that sit in the middle lane even when there is space for them to move over should be shot... likewise for those in the outside lane...

People get frustrated with them & then take risks - so they actually cause accidents imo...

I'm a lane weaver but only coz I can see spaces / routes & therefore make the best use of the road ahead that I can. But I wouldn't need to if these dawdling bastards actually used the most appropriate lane for them

totally correct hun :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: nothin more annoyin than someone just sat in the middle or outside lane when they don't have to! They get most annoyed if they have to move over & 9/10 are straight back into the lane they moved from once u've got passed :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I normally find tailgating 30mm from their arse while flashing your lights at em then flicking them the v's & undertaking in a cocky fashion annoys them even more.. ;)

I don't tailgate & I'm usually far too polite to flash my lights, I normally give em time to pull over when they can... & if they don't I just undertake in a very cocky way.... :)

My car's a beast :D The power is there immediately all the time... :D

I loathe and detest middle lane Charlies and always make a point of undertaking them, usually provoking head shakes from the knobhead in question. I'm thinking of getting a little sign made up that I can hold up as I pass - 'THIS LANE IS EMPTY YOU TOSSRAG!'.

They are almost as bad as those who drive at 55-60mph in the inside lane when the motorway is reasonably quiet and conditions are good, thus forcing HGV's and LGV's to try and overtake them. There isn't a car made in the last 15 years that won't pootle along at 80mph on the motorway with ease and if you're not prepared to drive at at least 70mph then you shouldn't be on the motorway in the first place.

This is especially frustrating when it's some old guy in a BMW 735i. What's the point in buying a car that will do 155mph if you're never going to take it out of third gear :naughty:

naaa not really.......but im still an annoying tw@t :rofl:

i drive mainly in the middle lane but if the first lane is empty i drive in there, i hate it when you see people weaving in and out of the traffice to get away from all the slow drivers, to be honest i think thats how most of the accidents are caused on motorways:mad:

It can be annoying when you're in a hurry, but if I can't be arsed waiting for them to shift their arses over then I tend to overtake on the inside too, usually when there's 2 lanes clear in case they decide to move over when i'm on their inside;)

Anybody that drives in the middle lane (or outside lane) when the left hand lane is empty is actually breaking the law as they are in breach of the highway code.

I'd actually start using CCTV to retrospectively fine people that sit in the wrong lane...and it wouldn't matter who was in the car at the time. No points - just a fine, so the car owner pays.

I do not like sitting too close to folk when I'm driving so will not sit right up someone's behind; however, I do sometimes undertake - mainly out of frustration. I know that is technically illegal (and that two wrongs don't make a right) but it does make me feel better.

Not only that, but collectively they waste 100's of miles of motorway - as the electronic signs remind us.
