Can i just say how shit it is losing a loved one,

My nan sadly passed away last night at hope hospital after being rushed in at around 9am. I had grown very close to her since my grandad passed away in November last year. I just cant believe how quickly its all happend, one minute she was here next she is gone  wtf is life all about

The whole family were there when she passed away & i can only describe it as the worst experience of my entire life. got there in the morning & spoke to her then spent the rest of the day watching here slowly fade. I know she never got over my grandad as they were married for 53 years :) I suppose now she is where she would prefer to be :)

It does not make it any easier

RIP Nanna

It must be hard, but at least you have your memories of both your grandparents to have close to you. It will have meant the world to her that you were with her until the end.
Take great joy in the fact that you can love somebody so much, that it hurts so much when they leave. Love is all that matters in life, and your nan will be at peace now :)

if you need a chat, im here as always and for any of you.

take care. amy xxx

sorry to hear of your loss hun. we all get that its part of life and its the one thing we know at one time is inevitable, but like others said it does get easier in time and you will always have her in your heart and carry memories of her with you so she wont ever be forgotten.

ive lost family and three years ago i lost a good friend (who was only in his 20's and it hurt me like anything) not a day goes by that I dont think about then even if its only a fleeting thought - they are forever with us, and it is hard but we learn to deal with it and carry on with our lives.

you have friends and family around you who can help and will understand your loss in this time, and if you need to have a good cry - let it out!!
Its hard to lose a loved one.

Take care hun and *hugs*

Sorry to hear that mate. I know what your going through.

I lost my dad a month ago today. He was brought into hospital when he was vomiting blood. Turns out he had a massive cancer tumor that had burst his blood vessels. He was only 54. He had been feeling quite bad for a while and was waiting for the results of a CT scan. He had an appointment booked with the specialist for the Wednesday after his death.

She would have told him he had week’s months left anyway. The cancer was so bad it was inoperable.

I hope I have to never go through anything like this so soon. I hope no one has to go through it either but I suppose it is inevitable. It was heartbreaking watching him in hospital trying to fight this ugly disease. I mean a few days before he was cutting the hedge and working.

The day before he died monday he managed to say quite a few words.

He said to my uncle "How’s Business"
When the priest came he said why is he here I will be alright tomorrow.

I’m glad i got to say a few short words and he told me everything would be alright.

He was always an internal Optimist.

I just wish he would have been able to live long enough to see his 3 children grow up and do well.

Life has really been brought into perspective for me over the last month.

I didnt really want to say anything on this board as sometimes i really doubt peoples sincerity. Just needed somewhere to get a few things off my chest.

Sorry to hear that hun. as everyone has said, you dont think it at the time, but time is a great healer.
I lost my grandad at christmas, and he used to say how he wanted to see his dad again, and so now thats what i think about, how happy he is. and im sure ur grandparents are exactly the same.
and im sure in the future, ull cherish those last moments u had with her, and i am sure she is grateful for them too.
i made the mistake of putting my uni work first, and then i was too late, which i deeply regret. :(

hope your ok anyway. :luv:
