Life after death?

Kinda following on from my OBE thread, i was wondering just how many of you believe that there is some form of life after death, do you believe that after death your spirit leaves your body and goes to some spirit world where you will meet your dead relatives and friends? Or do you believe that after death you are re-born as another person, animal or insect? Or do you believe that once you die then thats your lot, death is death...forever. Or something else?

Me personally i haven't got a clue, obviously non of us have, but wouldn't it be nice to think that after death there is life, just not as we know it, that we are carried away to a higher place, where there is no crime, no trouble, just peace, love and laughter. I just can't see that happening, i mean, we live on earth, earth is a tiny insignificant planet in our galaxy, we could be wiped out in a nano second by something so vast its unimaginable, so why would we have an after life? We are NOT important to the universe, i think we're only here by chance and luck, where would all the spirits go to?

But then again, what about the supposed ghostly sightings and apparitions? If these are real then what are they exactly, are they spirits of dead people, and if they are then surely there is a life (as such) after death?

Would like to hear your views on the matter. :)

I have my own weird perception on this one lol ;)

like most things we are charged with electricity, which is why we get static shocks an stuff...now...i think that this is the stuff that makes us tic (our living force) just like a battery ;) ....it could explain a lot of things......so even though we die when we die the life force (electricity) lives on elsewhere.......once it earths it re establishes itself somewhere else....thats my explanation for the reincarnation theory too :$ :p

Okay, so would this theory still exist if our world was wiped out? I've often wondered about just how significant earth is to our spirit, just because we live on earth does that mean our spirit is grounded here too? :)

interesting, i tdon think it can leave ur body till its expelled, dunno not thought about that one but it could certainly explain why they say our moods and stuff can be affected by the moon.......just like the tide.......water also has similar life force....maybe thats why drinkin water is good for us lol :p i wouldnt say it was grounded though :$ :$ :$ :$ :p

Yeah ive heard that also, new moons and tides etc can effect our moods. :)

Lol, we could definalty go on forever with this subject, very interesting imo.

It could also kind of explain ur out of body experience hun lol ...... kind of and electro magnetic pull attracting the electricity in ur body........ u heard of astral planeing where you have 7 levels of planes.......they say that if ever u reach the 7th plane you die.....think is may be the point where the electricity in ur becomes so overwhelmed by the gravitational pull that it can no longer return to ur body and you therefore die. :eek: :S

Havnt got time to go into great depths right now as I have to log off...

Yeah could well be. :) What do you think happens then when you die? Do you think that it is just blackness, death is death? :) Would like to hear what you think other than just saying bollocks. lol :)

People can say ''NO i don't believe'' and people can say ''YES i do believe'' but Tbh who knows?! How can any of us say there IS or ISN'T something after death, the only way we'll ever know is when its our time to die. I find it interesting listening to what other people have to say though.

Hiya S-J, im good thanks! Hope your well too! :)

My mum believes in Guardain Angels and ive read storys about people saying guardain angels have saved their lives n stuff, not too sure myself, havent really given this much thought. I suppose its nice to think that somebody is watching out for us. :)

I know what you meen trace...ive sat and had many a convo about mad stuff like this and the stuff that peeps come out with sumtimes..:rofl: although admittedly boardering on the ridiculous from time to time its still a dead good listen :thumbsup:

for me logic wins everytime...if i can have an almost logical explanation for sumthing then im all for it lol like my electro magnetic theory lolol ;)

I believe in life after death i would hate to think you dont go anywhere when you die and another reason for believing is my dad died 7 years ago and i like to believe he is watching over me and my family. If there is'nt life after death then i need locking up because iv been talking to my dad for 7 years as if he can hear me. Sad i know lol.

i agree with you i have to believe that there is life after death as my dad my best friend and other close friends have all passed away in the past few months.. i talk to my dad on a daily basis i feel him looking over me looking after me and my family.. even thought of going to the spiritualist church but havent actually got there yet.. so its a firm yes from me i do believe that there is life after death

yep i defo believe we continue to re-incarnate time after time.. continuously being given the opportunity for our souls growth

i believe we are infact spiritual beings in a human body whilst on the earth plane, the earth plane is a very dense vibration to be in which is why there is much suffering here but that it is an opportunity for us all to transcend these conditions

ghosts/spirits whatever u wish to call them, i believe they are souls that are stuck on the astral plane that havent quite made it 'home' for a number of different reasons, that they are too attached to the earthly plane and havent quite moved on to the higher realms

:D :D yep i believe in angels whom belong to the angelic realms
and i also believe in many other types of forms that live in and around earth that assist in the universes potential of growth and development

call me insane if you like! but i see all this, hear it, and sense it so therefore it is my inner truth and part of the whole!

tho i do not expect anyone to agree with me! lol

at the end of the day we all accept what resonates with us ...
and ultimately it is what we do with our lives now that count, what we do in each moment, how conciously we live and how much kindness and compassion we show ourselves and others :love:
