For those of you old enough to remember what's it's actually like to go in a record shop and are willing to prise yourself away from the TV as the last series of "Shameless" limps to a close, here's a little heads up on what promises to be a great programme on Radio 2 at 10pm tomorrow. (Tuesday)
"Last Orders At The Spinning Disc", presented in two parts, profiles the history of independent record shops and celebrates everything that is good about the shops and the people that run and frequent them... I reckon this will be really worth listening to as there's some quality contributors lined up and I'm sure it will remind us all about what's so special about hanging round for hours in these places just so we can reward ourselves by going home with a bag full of cherished round pieces of plastic to enrich our lives.
