lakes pics from my phone

i go walking in the lakes a lot, im not really one for taking photos, but heres a few off my phone-camera

1. the moon rising above the pennines from doddick fell, blencathra
2. the blencathra 'saddleback' from scales fell
3. rosthwaite, borrowdale from the way up castle crag
4. grange, derwentwater, skiddaw, blencathra (distant right) from the top of castle crag
5. late evening from blencathra summit looking towards helvellyn and thrilmere
6. keswick & derwentwater from skiddaw summit
7. me on sharp edge, blencathra watching mountain rescue attract the sea-king!
8. clouds on scales fell
9. whiteout on brae fell
10. blue skies on top of skiddaw

A man and a woman (both in their 50's) managed to fall from just below the 'awkward step' on the north side of the Edge. The alarm was raised by others in the vicinity. They had fallen about 20 metres. She had spinal and head injuries but he was relatively unscathed, although was unable to extricate himself. The Great North Air Ambulance assisted by ferrying team members to the summit of the Edge and the RAF Sea King was used for winching the casualties and taking them to hospital.

i wonder if she was OK?

great snaps gregg yep its a gorgeous place and so close to many of us. i have to agree deb the drive over shap is pretty impressive.
i think the journey down from fort william through clen coe, is the best ive ever seen, i was only thinking yesterday about taking the kids up there, but then realised they wouldn't be the slightest bit interested (i remember my mum pulling over to look at views when i was a kid, and me thinking its just fields lets get home so i can play with my whip n top)
