Ello, I will come clean, I joined to pester someone about track ID but will stay no doubt for the memories and trax I have [somehow] never heard. I recently bought an Ion tape/vinyl to computer contraption and the drawer opened. The drawer consists of portable stereo radio recordings from I think perhaps '87 earliest, Star FM. (I know, its illegal!) There is one tape where I had a nothing short of sublime 90 minutes from a DJ called 'Dr Manhattan' on a station I'm not sure of (he was one of those boring DJs who didn't do shout outs every 3 minutes much to my schoolboy anger lol). London/area DJ station. Annnnyway there's a mix on there that involves the much sampled sample of Collapse "Hold Me in Your Arms" and its the "You Dream of Hea-ee-ven" bit. I am going to 'ionise' it and put it in the right part of the forum, and hope that someone can ID as [IMESHO] it destroys pretty much all of the listed tunes in Whosampled, (30 odd listed but none the right one!). I just get the feeling there may be the odd late 80s track megasleuth knocking around here somewhere 🤔🙂

I opened the drawer because I wanted the drawer back...little did I know it was a Pandora's Box of memories. I just had to correct 'draw' to drawer twice there too....the power of the buried subconscious! :mexican:😲😄

PS not sure why I didn't just buy a cassette player in hindsight 🤤🙃

Cheers!🤜🤛🤝🥳 - surely that's not worthy of deletion....maybe its our old friend AI.....

I seen your post yesterday, It might of been because of all the lines through the text in the post.

I've also got one of those Ion-tape2PC twin deck, computer contraptions, its done plenty of 'ioniseing' over the years.

Hello - I had no idea how those lines got there, I went in and took them out after working out it was achieved by 'remove formatting'. Then the post disappeared! I'm quite pleased with the deck, it was advertised on eBay as 'brand new' but when I got it someone had stuck a penny on the needle[!] Honestly I'd have probs paid the £30 quid or so for the [forgotten] nostalgia! :ROFLMAO: As for the nostalgia of the tapes I've been playing - just mental. I don't want to keep any of the recordings as they're just horrendous, but I just want to grab out the tracks that my own memory has lost, and the ones that I never knew the names of in the first place. I did actually scramble to find a lot of them in the late90s/early 2000s fearing they'd never be seen/heard again... shoulda known better, house is a feelin :D Thanks for the reply!
