Do you remember how everyone danced to happy hardcore? It was very imaginative! You kind of ran on the spot, whilst thrusting your arms back and forword and if you were really cool you had a pair of glow sticks shoved between you fingers!!

Ben - Yeah i definalty agree with you, one dj that springs to mind for entertainment values is Mark EG, he was a proper nutter, i remember once he chucked a bicycle tyre out into the crowd at hardcore heaven and some bloke caught it around his neck, was well funny, like why the f*ck did he have that with him!! lolol He used to dance like mad and was always fun watching him.

Going back a few posts though, i rekon everyone would go sick if you dropped a few happy hardcore tunes in one of your sets. lol I've got that "you have a heart of gold..." tune stuck in my head now.........nooooooooooooo

Hahaha! 'Kin 'ell! Mark EG! I remember in Bowlers he sped his last tune of his set from about 33rpm +3 to 45rpm +8 and Milenko's head was well burnt....he was like "What the fuck! Is that record speeding up or am I losing the fucking plot?!"

Mark EG used to spit on the decks...:| and throw vinyl into the crowd...:|

funny thing is when you meet and talk to him hes sound as . . and dont appear that much of a fookin headcase . . lol which goes back to b4 bout a djin entertaining the crowd and not just playin which is a big part of mark egs whole thing . .

lol in a conversation about kinetic a few months ago, i showed someone that dance (think it was grad actually) and said "do you remember dancing like this?"
They just looked at me unimpressed and said, "well you might have danced like that but i dont know about anyone else" :| :$

When i used to dance to techno :| i always danced on the second beat, if you catch ma drift? Theres no way i could jump around like that anymore though, christ i think i'd drop dead!!

I remember Ultrasonic did a live PA in the Drome and there was this one tune that had a sample of a Phil Collins track 'I can feel it comin in the air tonight'..used to fuckin go off me head to that one, lol!:$
I also remember there was a tune called Fred West is dead and they'd bring out a fella with a Fred West mask on and electrocute him in a chair..'Fred West is dead..hanged by the neck'..fuckin ell..mental days them
Another boss happy hardcore memory was Pandemonium doing one New Year and there were fireworks, bouncy castles and foam and shit Then we couldn't get back over to Liverpool and it was snowing so we decided to walk en masse through the Mersey tunnel! We got halfway before the police chased us back..he he

Actually, thinking about it, does Sonz of a Loop Da Loop Era's 'Far Out' and 'Peace And Loveism' fall into the category? If so, then I guess I really like the odd track of happy hardcore.

That A-Tension - 'Angels' track sounds pretty wack to my ears though.

I know a lot of you dont like it but for most of us it does have a place in our hearts!

As for dancing to it i agree that we all used to dance like ravin monkeys to it i know i did!!!>>>!!!

As for 2dayz scene i have nothing to do with it as for me Happy Hardcore died in 1999! and in a strange way i would be quite happy with the memories i already have because i dont think i would like it comin bak!!!!

I'd say not, the so called 'happy hardcore' stuff didn't really come about til 94ish, by definition it's got stompy kick drums, it's at least 160bpm and as time went on the producers used fewer and fewer breakbeats.
