Having been bestowed an honour – to program and curate the third room at fabric, a room we’ve got sooooo many cherished (half) memories of – we wanted to work what do around what was already happening in the club and as such it really is a modern dance music tour de force with Ben UFO, Pearson Sound and Pangaea’s troup providing the headlines. Building a lineup around the core Hessle trio – a lineup that binds pretty much all of the threads of what they do – in Room One, and with Tectonic bringing the (for lack of a better cliché) pressure in Room Two we wanted our room to sing its own hymn and bring its own slice of the party.
Mosca, the DJ responsible for probably our most prominent Room Three memory, anyone who attended the Elevator Music Vol. 1 launch party in January 2010 should attest that he can bring the A game like no other, tops the billing; accompanied by Rinse FM’s young techno obsessive, Braiden. Between them the two DJs cover just about all styles; with Mosca now making excursions into straight house, he’s long been known to twist ragga flavours and an old school garage swagger into his DJ sets, whilst Braiden concentrates more on the melodic side of techno, fusing it with a typically British penchant for swung drum patterns and bass weight.
Numbers signing and long time friend of Sonic Router, Redinho will carve his very own party before your eyes. His live show is infected with a talk box and as such it positively reeks of 80s funk, but Red always manages to impart his personality, instilling a frenetic kind of enthusiasm, one loaded with jaw dropping beat programming, into his hyper charged live sets. And Randomer… well Randomer is set to bring the carnival. As a Hessle Audio associate and fellow geographical brethren of SR we’re looking forward to the way he’ll cram as many styles as possible into his set, something he did incredibly well on his Sonic Router Mix (#64) back in January.
