One of my favourite mixes.

I lost 95% of all the mixes I've ripped and collected over the last 15 years or so last year when my main hard drive died, but was pleased to come across this on a old hard drive from about 15 years ago. As a consequence, I've pretty much given up with all the forums etc, but thought I'd share this as I've got it on right now and it made me smile.

I bought this tape at The Depot in Brum in 1993 and listened to it over and over. The Golden Age of Stress Records, which Dave ran with Nick Gordon Brown.

sorry to hear you lost all your rips, ive only had 1 hardrive fail on me years ago but I was able to recover all the sets by putting the hardrive in the freezer,

did your hardrive start ticking & just spinning but not reading? it's caused by the discs inside the hardrive overheating & buckling

Thanks for the share.

Sorry to hear about the failed drive I can imagine how disheartening that would be; I was gutted when mega deleted my account but at least I still had local copies. Hopefully you can rebuild your collection with the help of everyone on here. If there's anything I've shared that's a dead link or anything I've downloaded from you let me know and I'll get it uploaded somewhere.

Good to see you back around Henry, like I said to you before, if there is any sets I can help you out with its no problem(y)

I'm sure plenty of others will help out, you have shared so many sets over the years.

Thanks guys, yeah it's been pretty shit. I wouldn't even know where to start to be honest. Everything I has so filed in a order, labelled perfectly with artwork that I'd often edited. It feels like I've lost a limb 😓

I just plugged it in one evening and it made a low beeping noise and wouldn't connect to my PC. Then when i tried it again the next day it was louder and there was a whirling and it still wouldn't connect. I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and pay for data recovery which will be a few hundred quid as it's a 6TB HD.

ah that doesnt sound like a buckled disc ticking, I wouldnt try the freezer trick, it's maybe the circuit board inside the drive thats fried

sounds like data recovery is the only option, I've watched a few videos on YT about data recovery, it's clever what they can do
