Hope you can join us at one of the parties as we begin the European tour shortly afterwards...

The European tour DJs include Victor Rosado & Lenny Fontana and warm up
from UK tour organisers DJ Alex & Johnny Chingas (Voices Agency). Victor

played at the Garage so expect the real Garage aesthetic shared... The PG

A Tribute To Larry Levan : European Tour 2011 Tickets | Soup Kitchen Manchester | Lineups | Sat 6th Aug 2011

Featuring:

Victor Rosado (Paradise Garage, The Loft, East End Records)
Lenny Fontana (Legends Of The Dancefloor)

Support from Wet Play and Zunday Zocial residents

We are very excited to host the Manchester leg of the "Tribute To Larry Levan" European tour!

Lenny Fontana has put together an Incredible audio documentary for BBC Radio 6 called "Legends Of The Dancefloor" - streaming NOW on the iplayer for all to check, it's a vivid account of the heady days of New York City's Paradise Garage and its legendary DJ - the late Larry Levan.

In support of the documentary, Lenny is teaming up with another of the Paradise Garage residents, Victor Rosado, to celebrate Larry's sounds and vibe - to give, in their words, "both younger generations of music lovers and those who were touched by it all first time around a chance to experience the spirit and the message of the Garage, unifying people from all walks of life through music." This is going to be a pretty special evening - if you're not familiar with the garage sound, expect "disco classics/obscurities, private edits, afro beat, new wave oddities, proto and early 80s house music"

With strong support from Wet Play residents and Zunday Zocial DJs, a late licence and fun dancing, make sure you come ready to get all '87 up in here and be prepared to SWEAT...

£10 on the Door or buy an advance ticket to guarentee entry as this will be a busy one
