Manchester
Try Wilsons in Manchester, I used to work for em and they were always cheap yet good service.

It was a few years back now though but Might be worth a go. Ask 192 for 'Wilsons Insurance in Manchester',

I'll see if I can think of any other decent ones for ya.

i think it comes down to what it is that you're trying to insure. my sis works for swinton insurance and the best they could do for me was circa £1700! (including the family discount)

if u want a first time quote that doesn't knock the wind out of you then you might have to treat yourself to a 900cc fiesta or summat :p

my dad just gave me his 1.1fiesta so i dont think it should be too high to insure but i need to keep the car after i pass my test...then i will insure it fully comp, which means i can drive other cars(i think)..cos i got a pug 1.9gti which is about £1800 to insure but ste will insure it in his name so i can drive it!!! ta da!!!

but thanks for the help every1...i shall get myself insurance hopefully?!?!?!?!

i'm with elephant.co.uk deffo cheapest for me, but like Skippy says it depending on what you've got some will be cheaper than others..

good luck with the driving

thanks!!!

AAHHHHHH:mad:

i am un-insurable!!!!!!!!!

hardly any of the on-line quote things will quote me on a provisional!!!

i will have to just phone them all...

"we won't insure you cos you should have got off your backside wen u were 17 and insurance was much easier to get...and cheaper..haha...pay the price"

Have u tried insuring it in Ste's name with u as a named driver?? Dunno if it will help!

i've just got a quote from elephant.co.uk with the car in my dad's name and then me added to it...they want £619 third party only which is loads higher than the quote my dad got a while back, we're just trying to remember were we got it from now:axe: :axe: :axe:

i'm gonna have to just get some lessons i think...but cos i'm a nervous wreck the instructors always pick up on it and say i need tons of lessons(not being big headed but i know i don't need that many)

but i might book some lessons cos i saw a company the other day that use brand new mini's!!!!!:D :D :D

Up North, pint o tetley
it really does depend on your requirements

mine was for a fiesta

i've had 2 smashes and swinton/insure.co.uk where defo the best
shaving a grand off ford's own insurance, and many others

go for the broker companies

who search other insurance co's
like that insure .co.uk search 40/50 brokers

as does www.budget.co.uk / elephant.co.uk

and many others
