that's the weirdest rip ever - bass is in my left ear, highs are in my right, with some mp3 sludge to top it off
Yes unfortunately the quality is absolutely shocking but that's the way it came out on the tape 
TBH ive had a few tapes like that, probs not this bad, I remember buying a Top Buzz Destroy tape just unplayable from start to finish

This is the reason mankind phased out tape cassettes mate. Because there absolutely shit in quality!! Let's not forget these tapes have probably been ridden hard in a million car stereos over the last twenty five years or so 
Car stereos always seemed to randomly chew tapes up.
I was watching this the other day, he says life span of 100yrs
I doublt the quality would remain.
