Best cartridges to use on 1210's

Hi all,

I've just bought some 1210's and before I set them up, I thought I'd treat them to some new cartridges. I'm more interested in sound quality than scratching. Have they changed much from 10 years ago?

What can you recommend?

What do you use?

i use ortofon concorde djs m8 and they work really nicely:

Ortofon DJ S CONCORDE-SYSTEM DJ Mixing Needle Blue

danny dee has a pair of the pink scratch ones, great if u like that kinda thing but last time i saw him i think he said that the sound was slightly better on the djs

also played on the stanton concordes and they're good but tbh i wouldn't choose em over the ortofons

let us know which ones u end up getting

I use these > STANTON DIABLO V3 - CARTRIDGE & STYLUS (PAIR)- PAIR OF

Bit pricey now, sure they were only £60 when i got them :S

I have the pro s, they're the shizz! don't forget to zero the arm and set the correct weight when you get them

good choice john, i can deffo recommend em, they are good all rounders, perfect for most situations
