hellp people

has onyone seen an absolutely mental film called 'bad boy bubby'...or something like that????
i think it's australian and must be pretty old by now.i saw part of it on the telly years and years ago and it's just came back to me now :confused:
has it been aired recently???? if you've seen it you'll understand what i mean by the word 'mental'.....

That is one carazee mofo of a film.

It was on Film Four Extreme last year. Unfortunately they didn't repeat it so I couldn't record it. Now they've got rid of Film Four Extreme and Film Four World and replaced it with that Film Four Weekly crap so they're probably not going to repeat it again.

wierd,very wierd......
still i've never seen it in it's entirety,would love to though,quality viewing IMO.

For those of you who haven't had the pleasure here's a synopsis:

Bubby (Nicholas Hope) is a grown man who lives in a dilapidated apartment with his rough-hewn mother. What sets Bubby apart from your average university-age freeloader is the fact that he's never been allowed outside the apartment, and can only communicate by repeating phrases he's picked up from those around him. After an extended opening sequence which gives the viewer cause to wonder whether the entire film will be set within the dank environs of that damn apartment, Bubby escapes into the Australian night, intent on experiencing the wonders of the real world. The remaining screen-time is devoted to chronicling his adventures, which include (but are by no means limited to) finding true love, committing armed robbery (weapon of choice: a dead cat), making a name for himself as a budding serial killer, experiencing the joys of non-consensual sodomy, and finding fame and fortune as the front-man for a pub-rock band.

lol. It is a bloody strange film....I got in from a 'Leo Sayer' -
(All dayer) and was flicking through Sky and this was on Film Four Extreme.....

Not the best film in the world to watch when absolutely twatted....He kills his mother and the bloke doesn't he? Then, as he's never seen darkenss (cos he's been locked in the room all his life) he goes mental again, then some dolly picks him up and take dhim home where she shags him......Thats the first 20 minutes of the film like.....All I wanted was a bit of porn! :)
