Hi PPL,

Why is it all the old skool revival / re-union nites are oop north?

The club scene in Brighton was pretty wild in the early nineties (Coco Club @ The Zap was my thing) and there must be plenty of people up for a silly night out with a healthy dose of nostalgia thrown in.

If there isn't, is anyone willing to help me start one? I've got the record collection and the mixing skills (bit rusty) but don't have any contacts to make it happen.

It's not like there's a shortage of venues in the area, one of them must be up for this kind of event and the crowd it would attract.

Any suggestions, let me know!

Cheers,

Ali

Hiya hun welcome to the forum

You wouldnt be the first one to mention a lack of old skool revival down south :(

The only person i could think of to help with your brighton question is our resident old skool dj rob thurston ... manchester based bloke and cracking dj now living in brighton........in fact he was once upon a time thinking of starting up a love decade night down there but dont think it happened for some reason...seems there is obviously a market for it......any way he does pop on from time to time so keep your eyes pealed :p

nice to have you here btw
