I grabbed this the other week and thought it was ok, wasn't mixed as well as I'd hope though, some are just faded out and next one starts kinda thing which was a shame.

Tune selection is good, just could have done it better (I'm a fussy **** though)

here here.
that said, I don't s'pose this was ever gonna be about the mixin.

the runnin times are too short - this should have been done over a box set, allowing for more of a 'feel' as to what styles were used to progress his sets, as opposed to randon picking of classics. no flow! not on cd 1 anyway - which lets face it, is the more interesting of the 2 (or should be...!!!)

I do think that it's a shame that Ministry put this out. Such a wasted opportunity for a proper classic box set if ever there was one.

I'll agree to an extent, but at least it's actually mixed by the man himself, using vinyl. No laptop doing the mixing for him!

Got to agree about the box set though! Sounds like an H&H project to me!!

yep - agree fella - I did think when I 1st heard about this that it'll be great to have a document from his original vinyl.

I've listened to it a couple of times now - but it's an uneasy listen imo.
I can't get round the programming of either set.

I can apprecaite that it's an almost impossible task to pick the tunes - or maybe not - it might have been clear as day for him - only he'll ever know - either way, it's uneven to the point of being almost challenging to listen to.

I don't think this serves well as an official document, or by way of an homage to the man - he's arguably the most important non US DJ, & as such this fails to deliver.

It really should have been a much longer package - or maybe would have been better in a format like the Cafe Del Mar series - far more tracks, unmixed even, but offering a greater insight into the variation of music & freedom that was afforded to him, & that essentaily paved the way for so many others to follow.

That said - HE RULES!

:p Sounds ok to me :D When is the next CockStock?

"will someone sort this bitch out some chicken!"

The best one, unrecorded was me finding Danny eyes closed and drooling over the decks in the main area at about 3.30 pm, when I'd seen him an hour earlier absolutely fine. I said, "Christ, wtf happened to you' and he said

"They've been feeding me stuff"
