I woke up this morning about 7.45am to a strange noise which sounded a bit like a motorbike...but it sounded like it was coming from the kitchen so i got out of bed and went downstairs to find my boiler leaking all over our tunes!!! it was pissing ALL over them!!!! ....now just the other day i had called out a bloke to come and see my boiler because it was making a strange vibrating noise about 20 minutes after i had switched it on, he came, i switched the boiler on, no noise after 25 minutes, he went! Didn't check it or anything, just stood there talking to us both about decks! He also said that there was nowt to worry about and it shouldn't leak any water!! :axe:

So there i was at 7.45am thinking...OH SHIT, WATER EVERYWHERE!!! Now most of our old skool tune covers are wet thru and we have had to take all of them out to dry!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Back oop north!
www.
  sorry to hear that babe. Are the records ok inside?

I had a leak in my water tank a few months ago and as I was living in a flat it was just in a big cupboard not a loft or owt. I came home from work to find my neighbour and a plumber fixin it but all my old skool tapes from the early 90'2 and all my original Bowlers tapes were all soaked thru.

I spent days with the tapes and covers spread all over the floor on blankets trying to dry them out!! :|

I hope they're all ok for you hun xx

Thanks Pixie, :) the records themselves are okay, gave them a wipe and there sitting on the sofas now, but a load of the covers are floppy and stained. Wouldn't mind though but we noticed C-Concept - Why Naked (of all tunes  ) had gone a bit damp so moved it from the rest the other day, thats when i phoned for a guy to come out, trust us to get a young lad who couldn't even be arsed to check out the boiler.

We had about 200-300 tunes under the boiler n all! :| Lol, theres tunes and covers everywhere now.

A bloke came round before and he's pin-pointed it to a loose pipe under our bedroom floor so he's got a plumber to come out and check it...infact he's just knocked on the door, lol!

Jonny, no they aren't insured!!! We just mentioned the other day that we should insure them. TO LATE! lol DOH!

What a Bas*ard, gutted for ya, my bathroom roof is leakin'.
Actually water is runnin' downthe light which is switched off but flickerin' as I am in no pain I'm not yet worried, does any one know If I should be!

Also if it's any concilation.
I took some of my vinyl to college with me and whilst I was eatin my lunch I put my plastic bag of about 20 tunes next to my chair. Unfortunately I put the bag on to a hot pipe running along the wall. After about 20 minutes I had 1 awsome compilation album.:|

Gonna wait till there all dried then lie them all down and put summat heavy on them to try n flatten them out. Just what i need on a hazy night.

Looking forward to tonight btw!! ;)

Hmmm didn't think about that, we thought they might not dry very well and could go mouldy, i'll try that. Cheers.

Oh shit!  Can't think of anything worse. Well, apart from them being stolen or melting in a fire, but that's really bad. Hope you manage to get them dried and there isn't too much damage
