The most exciting thing to hit the UK festival circuit in years is just under 2 months away! It’s what the country’s ravers have been crying out for – a big-budget festival with the biggest names in rave music, the most cutting-edge production, and one of the best festival sites in the country!

You’ve heard about the line-up and the main details of the massive Sanctuary Festival ’07 on 29th and 30th of June – but now it’s time to discuss the finer points of this massive rave event!

• The Winchester Matterley Bowl is one of the UK’s classic festival sites, which has hosted some of dance music’s biggest events over years. From Homelands to to Creamfields to Hi-Fi South, it has long been a favourite of the country’s most ambitious promoters and it is a venue that is perfectly suited to epic parties! The restrictions at Matterley Bowl allow for the best sound levels of all the festival sites in the country.

• Unlike some other dance music festivals, Sanctuary runs all night long – so even if you are only coming for Saturday – the music kicks off at 2PM and doesn’t finish ‘til 6AM….so that’s a whopping 16 hours of fierce rave music!

• This is the first event on this scale for underground rave music since Helter Skelter’s Energy way back in 1997. Since then, there hasn’t been a large-scale outdoor event with cutting-edge production levels, gargantuan arenas and a mix of DnB, hardcore, hard dance, old skool, gabba and house anywhere in the UK. It’s time for a change!

• Camping looks set to sell out well in advance, and with long range weather forecasts predicting a dry summer, we should be set for a hassle-free, sun-drenched weekend! We’ll leave rolling around in the mud to other festivals…

• The 6 enormous big tops that will house the different arenas are large enough to hold 20,000 ravers collectively in their own right – meaning that there will be plenty of space for even the most full-on dancers!

• The mind-blowing outdoor stage will cater for 10,000 people and features a line-up of the biggest names in the rave world. Dance under the stars to your favourite music! There has not been an outdoor stage at a Slammin’ Vinyl event since 2003. Add this to white knuckle fairground rides like bunjee jumping, a huge market area and more diversions, and you’ve got plenty to keep you entertained.

Sanctuary Festival is filling a long-vacant hole in the UK’s festival calendar – truly offering the nation’s dance music lovers something different and unique. Make sure you are a part of the event that brought rave back to the UK’s fields in a BIG way!
