On April 10th The Prodigy are playing at the M.E.N. arena...here at Carry On we are very excited to announce we will be hosting the official afterparty with very special guests, old skool legends - Kicks Like A Mule.
Kicks Like A Mule blasted into the top 10 with their underground anthem 'The Bouncer' in 1992,a track born when its creators Nick Halkes and Richard Russell took a little time out from their day jobs running XL Recordings-signing and breaking anthems from the likes of The Prodigy ,SL 2 and Liquid.
As well as smashing with 'The Bouncer' (later to be covered by The Klaxons) the team also remixed Awesome 3s enormous 'Dont Go' around the same time.
Fast forward to 2009 and a new Kicks Like A Mule record and mixtape are due soon featuring hot Brooklyn rappers Ninjasonik plus some rather special remixes are also in the works.....
This is a rare opportunity to catch these old skool legends meshing both old skool and nu skool in a way that only they can. With our highly acclaimed residents Steve Thorpe (Tangled) and Resistance on beat support this will no doubt be a superb aftershow party worthy of the one and only breakbeat legends that are, The Prodigy.
