Have you tried oldskoolliverpool on SoundCloud ? I think he/she has tonnes of mixes from Liverpool back in the day.

I went there once in November 94 and everyone was dropping like flies on dodgy stuff. Very surreal. Had a bad night as a result, however everyone seemed pretty friendly and helpful. I can see how it would attract an element of danger occasionally.
