Slightly off topic here, but i wonder if anyone can shed any light on why a lot of the pre 1995 essential selection shows dont have any of Pete's audio ? i noticed a few large torrents on some Russian sites seem have complete year packs of the ES show with all the mic audio missing. Could it that there was some kind of international feed that omitted the English dialogue ? or has it been edited perhaps ?

To edit a voice out is quite hard to do without really effecting everything else, have you played them side by side ?

Yes, thats very true i doubt the tech was available back then . Unfortunately i don't have different copies to make a A_B comparison, however i have just given this one a quick listen to and you can hear that the recording has been cut, it doesn't sound like the old pause on the tape deck rather some kind of post edit.

Im super grateful to get these essential selection shows, i just wondered why the majority of the pre 95 shows were missing Pete :)

This pack (https://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4455569) was posted in 2013 and it has exactly the same file as this:

thats why i wondered if the "pete-less" ones were perhaps from a Russian source.

if the 10th Sept is the same in the russian torrent id say they have downloaded my links & made a torrent out of them

those recording were made by Greg Smith who I credit at the top of my page, the pause button was pressed when Pete spoke, thats how pete-less recordings were made

Greg went way beyond what most folk would do, it was a huge task of stitching part recordings from various tapes back together into each show, for over a year he was sending me links as they were done

I kept a text doc so others could download them too, they were too good not to pass on

Yes an incredible effort he made to preserve this great piece of history, and thanks to you for sharing and creating the track lists !! Listening back to these early 90s shows today it amazed me how wide the spectrum of music Pete played was ! maybe im just showing my age, but the whole scene just seemed so much better back then :)
