I remember the 1st time i ever got lines for being naughty..... it wasnt clearly explained to me what i had to do apart from the fact that i had 1000 to do in the excersize book i had been given.... didnt think it was too bad tbh...certainly no kind of punishment.......:|

That was until i handed the book in and my lines got doubled the next day to 2000 cus i had literally drawn 1000 lines ( ------------------------ ) in the book..... so it was explained to me that i had to write ' i must not chew toilet paper and flick it at the crucafix with my ruler ' 2000 x which admittedly was a lot more of a ball ache than my original version :$

We never used to get lines when i was at school :confused:

The worst thing that happend to me was in the 4th year at high school i was caught with a fag, thing was my mate was there aswell, he saw us flick our fags but he thought that they were both mine :confused: He made me finish them both & then took me to the head where i was given a lecture on the dangers of smoking :eek:

We had lines at primary school... usually starting with "I must not....."

There was a school of thought that said writing letters down the page was easier on the hand than writing sentences across the page. I was an "across the page" sort of guy...

More often than not, I was given "my time tables" to write out, because I was a Joey at sums. I usually got given tables to do instead of "dancing" because I was a clumsy fecker as well, and the groove of the "Barn Dance" was just not my thing.

So now, I'm a whizz at maths and dance like a good-un when I'm on whizz!

Education = Brill:thumbsup:

We had to write out the school rules if we had detention in high school. It was about code of conduct and uniform etc.

I always remember the line, Discreet make-up may be worn by years 10 & 11 and jewellery should be no more than a pair of studs or sleepers and one signet ring. lol

Hahaha, we had to do the same thing...tbh the fact that half the girls had a layer of makeup thick enough to resufice (sp?) the m60 meant that obv it didn't mean jack! Detention was fun if there was a few of you in...passing notes, winding the poor teacher up who had the unfortunate job of watching you all (bet they loved it-what a crappy job!)

Yeah, had to do some a few times. Ridiculous punishment tbh . It is mildly annoying though when you habnd them in an d the smug arse teacher gives a sarky smirk and screws them up and bins them right in front of you. :rolleyes: Ooh thats really put the breeze up my kilt, dead scared now :rolleyes: lol

I remember getting 25 lines in Primary school, probably top infants or juniors or whatever, for..... wait for it... forgetting my P.E kit :| :cry:
Bit harsh!! :|

Had to write a so-may-word punishment essay once too on 'why it is dangerous and unnacceptable to block the stairs' :confused: :ba:

Nowadays you could probably argue the toss about the huge wastage of paper it would incur to do them :D

resurface. lol. Yeah, detentions weren't that bad. Although sometimes the head used to take ours in which case there was no f@ckin about! lol. She was one scary woman, built like a tank and had this big bellowing voice! lol. Always wearing power suits! hahahahaha. She used to come in and tell us all how many time we had to write it in legible handwriting or we'd have to come back the next day to re-do it all! whoops!
