If you want a proper japanese sushi restaurant try Little Tokyo in Leeds, Eddy & I went a while back.

If you just want a sushi bar, go to Selfridges like someone said earlier, then you can just pick whatever dishes you want off a conveyer belt, which i'd say is the better option personally :thumbsup:

And ask Lozzie she's into her sushi :thumbsup:

The arndale one is nice I've eaten there, in the same vain as Yo! sushi ie little carousel rotating round. The Whitworth st is even better, do a really good lunch time special for about 6 quid. Can't remember what its called either!!

yeah, there's a yo! sushi in selfridges in manchester and theres also a lovely place that i went to with my dad called

LOL i had just finished some sushi when i read this :cool:
Dannster is ya sushi man, i asked him last week actually, he said the one on liverpool street is ace.
he also said one called samsi in wilmslow (think someone said its the same as the whitworth street one thou??)

Me and ant have been to that new samsi one, think i was more impressed than ant, but i thought the sushi there was a little bit too authentic if ya get me.
heard Yo sushi is really good too, been meaning to try there meself.

Anyway tracey if neil aint man enuf to try it, giz a buzz and ill come with ya :thumbsup: ;)

I'll have to try the arndale one next time i'm in town. If i've got the cash then I always take my daughter to YO!, she'd rather have sushi than a maccy Ds! Not normal for a 7yr old, but then she is my child lol

Although Dad took us for a Japanese the other week, and I had Octopus sushi. It was lovely, but i forgot Octopus are really intelligent animals, possibly more intelligent than dogs, so I felt bad after that!

Sushi is absolutely gorgeous :love: I went through a faze of eating it all the time last year and you HAVE to put Wasabi on it, youre a wimp if you dont ;) and the ginger is lovely, really refreshing and very good for you :D

The first time I met Ed he took me to this wicked Sushi restaurant in a basement in London, it was all in Japanese so I had no idea what he was ordering for me!! He asked me if there was anything I wouldnt eat and I said eel cos the thought of it went through me :| anyway all the things came to the table and he got me to eat a bit of everything and then told me that I had just eaten eel!!!! :| :eek: :naughty:

It was really nice tho and Id deffo eat it again! :$ ;)

Pauly wont go to a sushi restaurant otherwise I would go loads :S

Lozzer I see your Octopus and I raise you whale :$ Much better fried mind, the sashimi was a bit blubbery.

As a total sushi snob, I wouldn't touch that shite in Tesco or Marks, or Yo! Sushi, its feckin shite.

Never been to the ones in Manchester, would be interested in trying them.

There's a few good ones in London, some cripplingly over priced and some quite reasonable. I've not been back to the one I went to with Sarah, the opening times are weird, not open in the weekends but it was good.

My current favourite is Ribon by St Pauls.
